Wow, that vector looks fantastic.  Man, I really, really need to get into the comics.  It looks like they've been doing some great stuff. 

It is a bit of an interesting jump into Rarity's mind. I'm enjoying this arc of the comic a lot. You'd probably enjoy her micro series issue a lot too. Much more slice of life, much more Rarityish

Wow, that looks really cool. I'll have to go and check out the Mlp comics and see what they're all about. Would definately be cool if the other ponies got nightmare versions, but I would see them having a hard time with some of the color schemes of the characters I.e. Fluttershy and possibly Applejack.

ehhh, i cant see fluttershy or applejack, neither of them have secrets to hide that nightmare could use to control them, twilight or like they went with, rarity, are the two perfect canadates.

I could see nightmare controlling Fluttershy with insecurity or something similar, but I agree There really isn't much that could be exploited in the two.

'I'll have to take a look at that, as an antitdote to Season 3 Rarity withdrawal.  (Maybe that's why she gave into the Dark Side...)

 

As much as I don't want my favorite character to "go evil", I'm also glad that they're willing to take risks like this.  I really doubt that they would have gone in this direction in the TV show, and it gives the chance for more interesting or mature storytelling.

I hate the Nightmare Rarity-Arc  It was almost an complete waste of Time and is insulting to any Rarity and/or Luna Fan (turning the former into a Damsel in Distress and ruining the laters Past by making her only possed) If you want to see a good Nightmare read either the Pearls Arc or the Dark World Arc from the Pony POV Series.

 

But if I have to say one positive about N. Rarity... then it's that she is quite sexy when drawn as an Human or Anthro

Apparently in the MLP comics, Nightmare Rarity is actually a character. (Perhaps that's old news to some of you, but I've never seen the comics before.) Someone over on Deviantart decided she needed a proper vector:

Isn't she cool though!?! Diamonds everywhere, and if you look reeeaaaaally closely, there are small diamond stars in her mane/tail.

 

I'm looking forward to seeing if the rest of the Mane Six get a Nightmare version. (Luna's not the only one anymore!) Do you guys think this is just a one time deal, or will the rest of the Mane Six get an alter-ego as well?

Like I said before, it's not my artwork, but the concept was interesting enough to warrant this post.

My thoughts about Nightmare Rarity as a character can be summed up like this:

 

Character Design - A (I mean she looks awesome as any version of Rarity would)

Character Development / Dialog - D

Story Arc - D (last few pages are a B though)

 

Its just not a good character, or story.

I just hate the concept in general, even the show basically calls BS on it. The idea that "LUNA CAN DO NO WRONG, SHE WAS POSSESSED!" owes its existence to this arc, and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It absolves her of all wrong doing, she was just an innocent bystander. Obviously, this is retconned in Season 4. 

 

But, look at it this way. Imagine if Discord's reformation was handled with something like "Oh, I wasn't actually evil, I had a tumor in my brain that was driving me crazy before being stoned again cut it out"

I believe that's one of the reasons they decided Rarity had to become the next NMM, apart of her being unicorn. I don't think she would be as threatening if NMM were an earth pony or a pegasus XD

While I do not think that we will see or even should see NightMane 6 (it would take away the originality and special place NMR holds), I do admit I have seen concept work of them and it is pretty cool;

 

As for NMR herself, my apologies to a certain Rarity fan on here but I still say that she has one of the most unique and interesting characters so far, and I absolutely ADORE her. Night/Mare, totally awesome

I've never heard of the comics before (yeah, I know, shame on me). This is really cool tho. I love the idea of Nightmare Rarity. Gonna have to look that up now.
