What is the pony diet

Pastries, because of SugarCube corner, the first episode, and when Apple Bloom meets the rest of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. I'm pretty sure there are quite a few other instances, one being the picinic in Lesson Zero.

Finland is my favorite. All the other Hetalia characters can go now.

There are a lot of things in a pony's diet, even if it is mostly desserts or just regular stuff that horses eat.

  1. Hay
  2. Sugar Cubes
  3. Cupcakes
  4. Punch
  5. Apples
  6. Apple Cider
  7. Meat
  8. Vegetables
  9. Sandwiches
  10. Finger Foods and other fancy dishes

Well, we know that they eat meat. In Fall Weather Friends Pinkie Pie mentions eating hot dogs. Just thought I would throw that out there.

You do get vegetarian hot dogs, so it's not sufficient evidence that the ponies eat meat. Pinkie Pie's song in Over a Barrel says that their diet is "completely vegetarian", so I'm inclined to think that the hot dogs are vegetarian.

I guess they eat eggs too, since fluttershy had a whole chicken coop, they are prrobably used for baking cake too but seeing how they eat meat i dont think its imposible they eat dairy products. They also drink tea as seen when Celestia came to sugarcube corrner.

Rainbow Dash is best pony.

Finger food?... don't tell Lyra

Can't forget eggs. Rarity made eggs in Sisterhood Social

And on that note Sweetybell made some things that resembled food but what it was I don't think any of us wants to know.

Oh.. and Oatmeal. Pinky may not like it but its got to be there for her not to like in the first place

the great apes are vegetarians. Humans are omnivores.

Ponies look no more like horses than humans look like apes. The faces are flat with barely a muzzle. The brains are huge. If humans can turn omnivorous, so can ponies. Its not that great of a stretch.

While I'm sure the show began intending the ponies to be on a realistic, strict "vegetarian" diet, I think that fell flat. After all, why not? I suppose fluttershy would never approve... IDK. This is a weird subject. I'm sure the ponies eat what the writers want them to eat.

But all in all I would say that they munch on hay and oats, with quite a lot of yummy pastries in between laugh.png

Oh. I had never heard of a vegetarian hot dog. That makes loads more sense I mean, it is Pinkie Pie, but still I wouldn't suspect her of carnivorism.

I would say vegetarian. The main reason being that in the "Gotta Share, Gotta Care" song, Pinkie sings the line, "Both our diets I should mention are completely vegetarian." That's my take.

I think smoothies or ice cream, like in the bad apple episode where babs takes the smoothie things from the cmc?

Or I could be going insane and seeing things.

Idk they eat all kinds of random stuff, alot of apples I think considering how much they eat it since Applejack grows them and all.

Other then that they've eaten all kinds of vegetables. I can't specifically name all of them really.

They are veggeterian, other then that they eat all kinds of random things, but besides apples I don't find them eating anything else to be a reoccurring thing to eat. It changes alot.

I guess you could always count in cupcakes, and cake, and alot of different sweets really :P.

I think they might actually eat fish. Remember Fluttershy in episode 7 of season one, Fluttershy fed the beavers two fish, and was perfectly ok with it. I'm guessing that she might eat fish too then.

While Pinkie's song in the episode with the buffalo suggest that ponies are purely vegetarian, a sandwich with meat on it appears in the buffet at the episode "A bird in the hoof" when we see Applejack trying to figure out what to eat first, so it's really debatable.

I guess they're omnivores in the show, so I'm guessing that they have the same diet as a normal human being would eat. Healthy, fresh, green vegetables and fruit, while eating sugary sweets and a lot of fatty meat is the unhealthy side of their diet.

You rarely see any chubby fat ponies in the show actually, does that mean everyone is healthy there?
