Actually know. Voice actors have nothing to do with quality of the show. Look at Strawberry shortcake. Over half of the actors in MLP are in it, and the show sucks.

Voice acting in my opinion is a big part of it.

It shouldn't be prioritized to the point where they neglect other aspects but it's definitely on the top my list.

 

If any of the mane 6 were to have a different voice actor that cannot directly emulate the original it would be one of those things that make me feal awkward whenever you see them.

That's what everyone in the comments are acting like. Having some big names leave isn't the greatest thing but maybe they feel so confident in the young guns that they feel they can move on and work on other projects while MLP stays at the high level it's at.

I remember when Bob the Builder's voice changed. Ruined the entire show for me... It wouldn't ruin the show if it were a pony's voice, but it would definitely make it really damn annoying.

I heard she was actually voiced by her singing VA Shannon Chan-Kent for some reason. Something about not necessarily needing Andrea since the role was so scant and there was no Fluttershy....? I am not sure, I may be wrong here. Edited November 15, 2011 by Dreadnought

On a gaming forum I participate in, there is a pony group, with it's own mailing list. I noticed this in it this morning: "Nicole Oliver, said in the Madponies podcast that they had started recording the third season. She says it at 4.50-4.55."

So. Nicole Oliver, voice of Celestia and Cheerilee, has let slip that season three is underway!

 

The only thing I know about Season 3 is that the first two episodes were originally going to be the last two episodes of Season 2. I have no idea what this entails, or why the change was made. But that is why Season 2 is 24 episodes instead of 26. I'm guessing it's something that was in the episodes, but I'm not 100 percent sure if that's the reason or not.

 

You know though, wouldn't it be funny if it turned out that Princess Celestia was training Twilight Sparkle to be the new ruler of Equestria? I mean, there's no definitive answer to how the organizational relationship works in Equestria. The monarchy there could very well be totally different from how they work on Earth.

I think we're all glad there's going to be a third season, it's just there's worry about it being the last, and maybe also even being only 13 episodes long. Also, the fact that Rob Renzetti's and Lauren's departures were "a little ugly" has some worrying.

Yes I know, it's just people are worrying it'll stay only 13 episodes, since the phrase "so far" didn't appear in the texts revealed in a later post on EqD, it was only stated that 13 episodes were ordered, which I'm sure means they can always order more. It doesn't surprise me much, especially since I know that there are many browncoats amongst the brony ranks. Those of us who watched and loved Firefly back in the day know the loss of our favorite show to an early and untimely death end.

Some have said that after those 13 episodes, it will have been 26 + 26 +13 = 65 episodes, apparently enough for syndication and then some fear Hasbro will cancel production at that. I myself am not sure if that's how it even works for syndication, but that's what all the criers of doom said is a very real possibility, so....there? I am sure that's not the case, but I guess you never know...

If the show is as popular as just about source that has ever mentioned it claims, then why stop? Keep it going as long as you can!

 

If terrible cartoons like Spongebob can keep going year after year, I'd love to see a cartoon that's actually good see at least 100 episodes. Especially because there's so much these wonderful characters are capable of.
