Upon hearing of pastry theft, the brave and amazing Muffin Investigator (who had absolutely NOT eaten a brownie) proceeded to check for hoofprints near the oven. These hoofprints belonged to none other than RARITY HERSELF!!!

 

For you see, Rarity stole and consumed these brownies for her own nefarious purposes! It makes no sense to blame the ponies with full mouths and bad poker faces!
