"I see. I remember my first combat mission. November 5th, 2049. My team and I were charged with infiltrating a major government building and finding tactical information we could use. The Capitol, I think they called it. The mission went fine until one of the guards we thought had been incapacitated decided to wake up and alert the guard. We barely made it out of there alive. If we had been caught, the Americans would have been alerted to our efforts here on this island. Of course, it's a good thing that didn't happen. Anyways, enough about me."

"My first mission we had to take out the human's defensive lines along the coast, lost three good ponies that day... We finally broke through and dispersed their defences, with a little help with this" Strong pulled out his battle hammer, "A toy I like to call, Little Wrecker, I took out their main base of operations... that was a few days after we declared war on the humans"

Sunny felt a bit more at ease knowing that there were ponies that knew how to handle situations. She would just listen to them.

(damn, sorry I didn't notice all the posts :S most civilians aren't in the city and some are still leaving, the army is ready for combat, but they have no clue what to expect. New York is pretty much the same as it is today.)

 

Suddenly a deep voice called out on a loud speaker. "all ground warriors please head to transportation, dragons, griffins and Pegasus fly nearby, when we arrive the griffins and pegasi will scout out, then the dragons will move in and attack. After 10 minutes, the aircrafts will land on the far east side of the city, then ground forces will move in. Please try to keep civilian casualties low"

Strong's ears twitched and he stood to leave, slinging his hammer over his back, he turned to Sunny and asid smiling, "ready to go?"

Sunny smiled, "Perfect! Well I'm right behind you!". She then made sure that her shield is fixed on her back and would then follow him.

Strong made his way to his transport, a large armored aircraft that was capable of holding multiple ponies and still have room for a couple heavy weapon artillery. Strong sat near the edge of the transport, next to a large defense turret mounted on the side in case it were needed. ..

Sunny also stepped into the vehicle, her mouth open in awe. She would seat herself not far away, sitting upright, steadily.

Strong looked back at Sunny, a smile on his face as he said, "She's a beaut aint she? Got enough muscle to carry 25 heavy armored stallions, or four battle tanks, and she's got enough firepower to take on a human carrier ship!"

"As long as we get where we're going in one piece, I wouldn't care if she could carry a hundred of them." Drifter said. "Nice seats, though I don't think they were designed with pegasi in mind." He rubbed his sore back.
