New Equestria Girls Trailer

Well I'm surprised this trailer cleared up a few things and it seems better than I expected! I hope it will be as good they say but I trust the writers

The onl thing that bothers me is the male Pony in Equestria wich seems to be the equivalent of the other guy from the first trailer, witch pretty much confirms a boring cliche love story!

I think we all can learn a lesson from Motion Spark today. Of course Equestria Girls have some girls stuff in it, but he's giving it a chance! We should all give this moivie a chance.

Hay, I was willing to give it a chance too, even BEFORE this new trailer...

But I was still a bit cautious over it but still...

 

This new trailer actually piqued my interest tho. I now cannot wait to see this...

The new trailer shows more info like the last trailer did. At least we got to see Photo Finish and Sunset Shimmer but as a pony, I guess we will have a lot of mixed feelings from the movie.

Am I the only one who's opinion was impacted negatively by the second trailer? Admittedly the screen shots were interesting and the design of  Sunset Shimmer's new form was really cool, this trailer seemed about as forced and contrived as the first one.

Look, I'm giving this thing a fair chance, really, I am, and that new trailer certainly contained far more revealing and promising content than the first one did, but like DashForever I still have plenty of reservations and skepticism. I just don't think so many of you should start proclaiming this thing's going to be awesome just because it's looking better than originally expected. No better jumping to that conclusion than people who already jumped to the conclusion that it will suck. Just wait and see, everypony, wait and see.

I thought it was really good and I think I'll take my daughter to see it. She seems excited about it. As far as Twilight going it alone this wouldn't be the first time that Celestia said Twilight needed to do it alone, but Spike tagged along. Cryatal Empire anyone?

I liked the previous trailer just fine, but this was a great trailer. I'm having really high hopes for this movie, I hope to god it does not dissapoint because to me it looks like it'll deliver.

I don't know if this has been posted but someone found Trixie (Bottom) and the CMC are..in high school.... okay what ever you say Meghan.

Well it is about a week or two away from the movie premiere. I'm sure they are just giving us a few more sneak peeks about it before it actually premieres.

I don't like any of the songs we heard from the trailers. True, it's a very small sample, but I don't like them anyway. They have none of the beauty or elegance from the songs in the series.

 

And I'll be honest: I liked this until Twilight went into the mirror (unless you count on how stupid it is to send only Twilight to retrieve the crown, if it is so important). I'll say this again: this movie could have been done in a different scenario within Equestria, with ponies. Still not going to pay in order to "give it a chance", and I'm still waiting for a MLP:FIM movie.

Essentially nothing that Pinkie Pie sings is elegant, and beautiful is much to kind. Smile Smile Smile might be the only exception. Her other songs are as a rule catchy, and that's the point. They aren't even written to be elegant, because Pinkie isn't elegant. Rarity's songs are... but she's Rarity.

This trailer is mixed.

1. The beginning shows something that looked interesting and good. The chase scene with Twilight and Sunset Shimmer is very intriguing and action-packed, yet suspenseful.
2. The moments Twilight behaves in the alternate dimension (running on all fours) is funny and shows how she hadn't adopted to the dimension.
3. On the other hand, so much information is crammed in, particularly after Twilight and that son of a bitch, Spike, land in the dimension. We know that the only way to "genuinely" retrieve her crown will be to be the "princess" of the Fall Formal (a.k.a., a "prom"). That's a very key point in the plot, and the dresses offer a key clue how she may get it. Like what I wrote before, if you really want to wet people's whistles, be simple, graphic, and to the point, like
   for Sonic Unleashed. Too much information makes the movie overwhelming and shows less respect for EQG (and the main series itself) as a whole.
4. The animation of the humans sucks. The walk cycle looks stilted, the squash-and-stretch effect to make the animation nice and fluid is absent, and the lip movement is stiff. In FIM, the ponies move organically and look like something from a handdrawn Disney movie. Here, you can easily tell that DHX used Flash, but used it in such a way as if to cut corners instead of treating it as a respectable animation program/enhancer.

This trailer is a mildly better one, because some parts are funny and demonstrate a better ability to attain interest. However, it still crams in too much info, especially in the second half. It's even more unfortunate that this wasn't the first trailer, because the first trailer was an info-dump that spilled so many key points, while this one shows a tad more, yet still tells me to have faith in it instead of showing me they have faith (although not to such an extent as the first trailer).

I got mixed reactions from the new trailer. The beginning looked very interesting and exiting, there really funny moments, like Twilight walking in all fours, and by the looks of it Sunset Shimmer probably will be a very a dark villain. Also there were moments that the cast looked really cute and I like that.

 

However I'm not sure about the start of the plot, so crown gets stolen and Twilight has to go alone again to retrieve it, why she doesn't bring her friends alone? They are not supposed to be a team? Whats up with this?.... but there is something that I still hate about Equestria Girls, and that is Spike the fucking dog, who can talk now... but still that doesn't make this right. Spike is now the girls' pet rather than their friend, he never felt like a pet to me... why the hell do they did this to him!!

Oh great. You had to go there, and remind me that Hasbro could have put all this time and talent into a Daring Do movie instead. A movie that, instead of provoking guarded skepticism, unbridled anger or precipitous enthusiasm, would be nothing short of AWESOME in every way. And the people would rejoice.

No-one in the movie is a "reincarnation". That would suggest they have died. You need to remove the "re" on the beginning of it and call them the "Human incarnations" instead. This is a parallel world, and, as such, almost everyone has a human incarnation. Snips and Snails, the CMC, Vinyl Scratch... It's entirely possible to the point of being likely.

 

EDIT: also, that's not Derpy... Unfortunately. Trixie is there though!

I literally fangirled when I saw Photo Finish. I was chuckling in an odd way for the last thirty seconds of the trailer. I think my dad may think I'm crazy. But still! This new trailer looks EPIC! I can't wait for the movie now! Around the point where Twilight says, "I have no idea!" (which Tara Strong did an amazing job saying), I got really excited. After watching the trailer through twice, I began nitpicking it. I found Trixie! She's in there for like, a half a second.

 

I noticed something else though. There's this guy in a suit and tie that is all over the place in the background. But he doesn't look like a background character. In fact, he looks the most 'normal' out of all the characters. He doesn't have blue skin, he doesn't have neon yellow hair. He's a normal color, brown hair and he shows up anywhere. Call me silly, but I feel like he's a side character.

 

To me, the only thing this movie is missing is Discord. But who knows, maybe Discord is in the movie! A girl can hope! Heck, he could be that guy in the suit and tie for all I know. ... That would actually be kinda cool. He looks the most ridiculous in the pony world and looks the most normal in the human!

 

But all of this is besides the point. This movie looks like it's going to be very good! I can't wait to see more of Mrs. Baconhair! ... What? That's my personal nickname for Sunset Shimmer!

I saw the trailer and I'm even more excited to see the movie now than I was before, and was really excited before. The only bad part about the trailer was the music in my opinion. The song was fine, but I expected more. Seeing Sunset Shimmer as a pony along with Photo Finish and (possibly) Luna was really awesome.

 

And for those who are asking about the CMC in high school, is it possible they're Freshmen and the Mane 6 are Seniors? That's my take on it at least.

These trailers I think are giving people less and less reason to hate on the Equestria Girls. It looks freaking awesome. I wonder if Sunset Shimmer will reform at the end of the movie and get a role in Friendship is magic when the new season airs, I think I'd like that.

Seeing as though she turns into some kind of demon thing she's probably too far down the evil well to crawl back out.

Obviously this is the worst possible alternate universe where high school lasts forever. Somewhat relevant

 

Anyways, I won't be seeing it in theaters, but if it ends up on Netflix I'll give it a try.
