I don't mind another eeveelution but i'm starting to doubt that will actually happen. You can't be too sure that they still follow those patterns after all changes made in gen 6. :X

So apparently some demos will be taking place in Japanand Germany next week, and the focus will be on mega evolution. I guess we can expect a lot of details in come in pretty soon. I can't wait 

 

On topic, eeveelutions. I think it'd be a dragon because that's what they did previously. Ice combats grass, dark combats psychic. Notice a pattern? Also, look me straight in the eyes and tell me that this isn't impeccably badass.

Does anyone else feel that there will be another eeveelution? I mean, they've been doing to double pattern for a while now. If they are, I'm getting a hunch that It'll be a Ghost-type. I hope it is. It would be the closest thing to an opposite vs Sylveon. ^^

I'm pretty much almost sold on the  fact that there will be another one, between patterns making so much sense, and because of that video i posted early with a guy who got a leak apparently that a new one is coming out, i'm pretty sure one will come.

 

Yeah, that much I agree. I didn't mean to knock vaporeon, I was trying to find a way to say that I would like an eevee with a steel type stat distribution. Really high defence, modest health, weak special defence and mediocre attack strength. Yes, vaporeon does have it's place as does every eevolution... Except flareon because game freak evidently hates it.

Whats wrong with flareon . I used one in Pokemon XD, and it did pretty well. I guess its probaly one of the weaker if not weakest eeveelution, but still...

 

Its also probaly my least favorite, but again still xD. I love all the eeveelutions .

 

I'd totally dig a steel eeeveelution though, steel is one of my favorite types, along with dark and grass and yeah . (Umbreon will still remain my main dawg eeveelution )

 

I think the mega evolution thing is kind of cool. A breath of fresh air into the series, even if it does have a digimon vibe to it. I heard about the whole super training thing, which basically makes ev training easy...thank god! 

Mega evolutions if done right i think will be pretty cool, and to those who aren't as big a fan of it it'll be tolerable hopefully.

 

Super training sounds awesome, no longer does it take forever to ev train .

I still think they will . they changed a good bit of stuff in G4, and heck, G2 changed a good bit to if you think about it.

 

I think there will be another, i just have a strong hunch, well either its a hunch or my fanboying showing over Eeveelutions .

I love this art, if something like this was added into the game i'd be pretty happy .

 

Of course to get one for each type will take quite a few generations..

And yeah they do look interesting, i have a feeling atleast one new mega evolution will be revealed, just a guess though idk.

 

Chandelure is already freaking powerful, idk if its gonna get one . Then again so is mewtwo .

Why JUST a mega evolution? Blazikin has one, why can't we evolve houndoom AND give it a mega evolution?? We need it for a few pokemon already, and one also being torcoal. We need evolutions and mega evolutions.

It doesn't even get fire punch, the poor creature!

I think houndoom as long as it doesn't get to powerful should get a evolution, it could be awesome.

 

I don't want mega evolution to replace to many pokemons chances for getting real evolution honestly, there cool, but i still want new regular evolution.

Well I say mega evolution because mawile could have gotten a normal evolution and it didn't, absol could have gotten an evolution and it didn't, and kangaskhan could have gotten a pre-evo but instead it got a mega evolution that took out it's child. But what the hey, I'd like to see a houndoom evo and a mega evo.

On a side note, i found out that cheek pouches the new ability gives you bonus HP whenever you eat a berry.

 

Could be interesting if you could teach the pokemon who know it pluck or something. Otherwise idk how much it'll help, maybe a small bit. Probably need a recovery move to make the most of it really.

Well think of it like you have lum berry. You get poisoned, the lum berry heals it, and you also get HP. Could be useful in some situations. I guess it all depends on how much HP it actually gives you.

Oh i thought of another, maybe using rest+ Chesto berry+ Cheek pouches, sounds like a good combo, not sure how useful it would be on the pokemon currently revealed, or if they can learn rest, but still if a pokemon can do this combo it might be handy.

 

But yeah, the amount is important aswell.

They do have other split evolutions, just its not the same as mega evolution really. More one stat trade or move pool, or type or whatever for another, its tradeoffs. Mega evolutions i imagine will be more powerful then the jump between most, if not all regular evolutions.

 

But eh, its hard to say, mega evolutions are still pretty mysterious.

It's a little off topic, but it was said that MegaMawile gets a stat boost iin defense and special defense. And it has Huge Power for an ability, so it gets a stat boost in attack. And because of the new typing, Mawiles and MegaMawiles are going to be very effective dragon slayers.

It honestly needed that as an improvement. The stats before were bad and they needed something to boost it. Plus, having another type helps it from dying from the types already.It looked so cute, it had potential to be something bigger. If maw ile had an evolved form, it wouldn't NEED the mega. Plus, wouldn't it be better to have 1 . Evolved and another mega? If it evolved, it wouldn't use the mega items. It would be reserved for mawile only. Besides, the others would still dominate it depending on moves and the battler. (Amphanros, your done)

It would be amazing, but they are shown not just in battle, but in the pets like game feature. It would be cool to have one like that but..

Well they allow you to get access to the torchic before the first gym? It seems dumb to raise it all the way up to the level your at if its to the end like before. I hope so, its easier. Maybe this means the others will have the same thing? (I want a wild mmud kip. AH WANT IT NOW! )

It's being sent at Level 10, so I doubt it will be too late into the game. Either, 1)They're keeping Mystery Gift, or 2) It'll be a Global Link distribution, and I don't think you'll have to get too far in order to access GL. EDIT: It'll be availible by "Nintendo Network," so probably through Mystery Gift.

 

So if you don't look at Bulbapedia, you won't know that Japan gets a special artbook for X & Y preorders. The actual link is here, but basically, if you pre-order  BOTH X and Y you get this book that has pictrues from the games' development. I don't know if it's actually been released yet, I'm trying to look for scans or an actual copy, but the cover artwork has been released, check the spoiler.

 

 

 

 

Ok, so on the X&Y website is a bit more detail about Mega evos. The item screen for the Blazikenite reads: "One variety of the mysterious Mega Stones. Have Blziken hold it, and this stone will enable it to Mega Evolve during battle." This means that Torchic MUST evolve into Blaziken before it will transform, HOWEVER, if you don't get Torchic in the event, you can't get the Blazikenite. So basically, the Pokemon must be evolved to wherever before it can transfer (eg, Mareep can't go mega until it evolves to Ampharos, while Absol can go Mega at any time.)

 

Also, if you can't read between the lines, the Shiny Creation Trio event kinda confirms transferring will be possible. It ISN'T official yet, but why do an event if you won't be able to transfer?

The main problem with those berries was that the pokemon were too susceptible after they activated the berry. Unfortunately, I doubt that the heal from the ability will be enough to make that work well unless it's like a 30~50% heal or something like that.

 

The may make the sitrus berry more useful as well. Just recovering off most of the damage without having to spend a turn could be pretty useful and, unlike the lum berry, you will get the heals right when you need it, when your HP is getting low.

Am I the only person that has realized that Dedenne or whatever is a gerbil. Everyone says he looks like a mouse or a mini raichu, but I'm almost positive he's modeled after a gerbil. A really fat gerbil but a gerbil nonetheless.

Doubt it, especially seeing as it was shown in pokemon Amie, which is an out of battle thing, so its basically not going to happen.

 

Plus it wouldn't make a ton of sense, since the other eeveelutions are all regular, it'd either be OP or weird or useless or something.

Mawile is certainly going to be an effective counter to dragons thats for sure.

 

I think he'll be quite good, if not atleast just for countering higher tier dragon types.

The ability cheek pouches gives extra health when a berry is used, so you could get rested to full health and have extra health.

 

Actually nvm, unless your health you gain from it is restored you'd still have capped HP then use the chesto berry and get extra healthy after, leaving you with HP yet to be restored.

 

Still an interesting ability. I'm curious how the extra health affects your current health, that could determine alot.
