I've made my first OC pony.

Unnecessary and tacky accessories, that awful face marking and the purple and red hair doesnt really work. Hairstyle is meh. 3/10 needs work

Yea personally I agree. I just worked with what I had at the time, and I'm not great at drawing due to the fact I'm usually quiet self conscious about it. But thank you for your opinion. I'll probably put alot more work into it in the future.

Nah, I think he is cute!! It's up to you to decide what you want your OC to be. I think he is fine the way he is. It's good to be creative. Just make your own decisions and don't let the negative-nay sayers get you down!!

The snout color needs to be the same as the rest of the body, and the accessories need to go.

I like the mane style though, even if your color scheme could use some work.

Alright. Will do. Thanks for the help, the color scheme to me is probably going to be the most difficult. Everything is helpful even some criticism.

Thanks for the kind words, but I do admit they do got their points about my OC and the changes I could make. After all, I did ask for the help right? ^^ Thanks anyway.

I won't lie, it's a bit tacky.

...It's very tacky...

My advice is to not try and make it really, um... out-of-place.

Focus on making everything balance out. Nothing should stick out badly.

And most of the accessories can go. Maybe keep something that adds to the character.

But you should do what you want, it's your OC.

Alright, thanks for the help. I knew I was doing something wrong but I just wasn't sure what exactly it was that I was doing wrong.

Does this OC have a story associated with it? It's hard for me to comment on appearance without knowing who's appearance I'm judging. Right now, it looks like he's some sort of heavy metal pony.

With the color scheme just look at the colors of the ponies in the show. Notice what colors male ponies tend to have, and what colors female ponies tend to have. Look online on how to make nice matching colors, it helps. Usually, the mane color and the body color are different, as well as the eyes. If you're really stuck, mix and match the colors of the background ponies. Maybe an inspiration will hit and you'll get a really awesome OC! :D

I don't want to sound rude but it's very tacky and even has a clownish appearance. If I were you I'd do some of these

-Take away accessories

-take away snout coloring

-change color scheme

-make eyes a different style because if he/she is supposed to be punk then the pouty eyes aren't going to sell it.

But keep working on it! I'm sure it will be great! :)

Alright, Thanks Lightning. I will take all of this advice and use it to make a better OC for myself. If you got anymore tips or any other advice you can give me about making my OC. Please, I would be glad to hear what you have to say.

Sadly, it doesn't have a story as of yet due to me not entirely having a clue what sort of cutie mark I should do in the first place.

Hmmm...Mixing colors of background ponies..That's a very great idea, thank you Lynette. The only reason my current OC has all that purple/magenta and such is because purple is one of my favorite colors.

My OC Beat rocks similar horse shoes and he ain't tacky y'all.

It also depends in how the OC is portrayed.

Pretty much everything made by Pony Creator made my head hurts, but I would say to take that weird colored spot on his snout. And do something nice with his mane (I already seen to many ponies with that manestyle, it's tedious tbh)

Thanks Motion. Yea, I admit the mane could be much better then how I have it already. But first before I figure out that I need to try and find out a good color combo for my OC in the first place.

I like it.

Its more, how you say.. Unique.
I dont care if you hand drew it, or used the pony creator.

Anyways, You might want to take the others advice?
SCREW THEM.
Your art is yours alone, you should take a look at it and say:
"This looks fine to me!" And say it with confidence for yourself and your art. That is how you truely make good art.

I think that you've used too much of a single colour; while working in tones suck as blues or greens, you can make your OC look quite pretty due to they many shades available. However, what you've done is use reds, purples, and pinks that are all very similar or too varied from one another and make your character look a little garish.

The spot on his snout is too much different form his coat colour; fade it a bit and make it a more similar shade. In addiditon, if you want such drastically differently coloured hooves, I'd do away with the shoes, or make them a different colour. The bracelets should be a different colour, too matchy.

I think it'd be greatly improved if you had proper art. You can go to the Requests Guild and get some drawn art done. Zoi makes it kinda ugly.
