Would a villain who hurt Luna be hated by the fandom?

So since No one cared about Chrysalis nearly killing Celestia would Bronies care if It Was Sombra nearly killing Luna? I am asking this because the Fandom seems to be overprotective of Luna, Hell I like her but some of her fans are too...weird. so let us Say Sombra return and beated Luna or a new villain came and Beated Luna would he or she be hated by the fandom?

Eh...you really can't hate a villian for hurting a good character, that's what they are meant to do. I think it would get some backlash from her fans, but no I don't believe there would be much hate.

If thats true then why are Gilda and Diamond Tiara and Blueblood hated when they are suppost to be antagonists? Face it half of the bronies would rage if some bad guy even layed his or her hands on luna

Probably. I dislike Luna quite a lot, but it depends on how Sombra hurt the character. If it's severely, then even I (someone who doesn't even like Luna) would probably be a bit angry. If it was average pain...I wouldn't mind since she would obviously get help in the end or something.

 

But, yeah the fandom is WAY too protective of her, it can get annoying.

Eh...I'm still not buying it. You didn't hear the Celestia fans go Ape when their favorite character went down. Actually if a character attacked her that would actually be a good thing for her fans because she's being reconized as a threat and not as a limp character like they think.

Eh, I wouldn't care. It would show how human (or pony in this case) Luna really is, and might even give her some more character development. Heck, she could die, and I wouldn't get angry.

Well truth be told I cant "hate" anything or anypony for well any reason, but if something was going to try and take Luna out well lol! they would fail, Celestia has Luna's back. So yeah good luck.....

I didn't assume that Celestia was in danger of dying in the S2 finale.  I always feel like she's one step ahead of everyone else and that she has everything under control in her mind.  :/  I kind of felt like she was just testing Twilight + Cadence and could have stopped the nonsense any time she wanted.

I don't really think that would be any reason to hate the villain, and Luna is best pony for me (along with RD). If the protagonists, on the other hand, were as calm (can't find the right word) as they were when Celestia was beaten, then there would be problems.

I thought about this point before and, honestly, I think it's because they are not evil enough. The super villains get better treatment around here than your average jerks. Ironic, I know.

 

As for the question, if this was some big bad that defeated Luna (or something similar to that), I don't think the fandom would hate the character all that much. Anything less than super villain though... yep, they'll probably get the same treatment as Gilda/ Blueblood/ Diamond Tiara.

I think a villian attacking luna yes people hate it but it's probably gonna becoming cause after the elements of harmony the orincesses would be the next biggest threat, I would have respect for a villian to attack either of the princesses showing that they are piwerful

It seems that Luna is Like Ace from One Piece. Blackbeard and Akainu Beated him up and killed him and they get a lot of hate even though Enel and Doflamingo are worst than them

Which is a shame because Villains needs to make you hate them. which the villains of MLP can't do. Scar even if he was awesome is hated because he killed his own brother for his bride, his evilness is one of the things that made The lion king such a legendary movie

Because they're not particularly interesting, just jerks.  A villain like Chrysalis, on the other hand, oozes charisma and style, and that's part of why she makes for an *awesome* villain.  What she did to Twilight really raised the stakes and heightened the drama.  That's the difference between being a cool but thoroughly evil villain, and just being a douche. 

 

If it was Luna in place of Celestia against Chrysalis, I don't think that there'd be a difference.

Well I personally wouldn't get all hateful and take it personal if that were to happen. Like what an awesome guy said on here, villains are meant to hurt the good guys.

 

But I can just imagine what some of the hardcore, loud, and super passionate luna-loving bronies would say.

It depends. Luna is best Princess with her calm, fun-doubling personality. If she was hurt while battling some villain, but wasn't completely beaten afterwards once downed, I probably wouldn't hate the villain unless he was merciless and unforgiving. It's hard not to be overly defensive of our favorite ponies sometimes.
