gaming Game discussion: What do you think needs to be changed the most for Xbox One?

Recently, Microsoft announced that they are taking the Xbox One and taking off some of it's money-sucking issues. Some of the problems with the Xbox One will still be present afterwards, however. We in the gaming community are still incredibly pissed off at Microsoft for the ungodly bad decisions they made for their new piece of software (Well, at least most of us)

In your mind, what do you think needs to be changed the most out of the Xbox One's countless flaws?

Now that the DRM is gone, I needs some frickin' games.  Honestly, the library just makes me want to cry.  Their launch exclusives include Killer "booed off stage" Instinct; Forza Motorsport 5, the Need for Speed wannabee; Dead Rising 3, which Capcom would obviously much rather be for the Wii U; and Ryse, which I can't actually say anything terrible about.  What do they have after launch?  Like, nothing!  While the Wii U will be getting Smash Bros and Mario Kart, and Sony will be getting InFamous and Galak-Z; the Xbone will just be sitting there as the new console that's "got no games".

My advice, get either the Wii U or PS4 and enjoy some actual games.

To be fair, I wouldn't say you shouldn't get a certain console based on its few launch exclusives. And to be honest, neither launch titles of the PS4 or Xbox One wowed me that much in my opinion.

I gotta agree with that. I'm for sure not getting the Xbone. What Microsoft did to it makes it sound like they're making the Donald Trump of game systems. I don't know about the PS4. I did grow up with the PS2, but they did end up almost getting my credit card stolen and bricked my PS3.

I'm going with Nintendo for this generation. That's just me.

The Thing that must be change the most is the console itself BECAUSE IM GETTING A PS4

Their kick off was not right, I wont bite the bait of the changes Microsoft just wont change their whole business plan from night to day, there are really no good exclusives there for a gamer like me that likes genres other than FPS's. Remove the Kinect it just sucks its more than enough to make me walk away from the Xbone. World Wide Support has to be mandatory!.

In general I never considered to buy a Xbox Juan and im very happy watching how that boat sinks

Everything. Even with their hilarious backpedaling on their shit policies, it's still just a glorified cable box with a football fetish.

Though to be honest, I take more issue with the arrogant pricks over at Microsoft than the actual system...

The games looked great for the most part(Ryse is the only thing I didn't care for), it looks like they're toning down the FPS, but the mandatory Kinect needs to go. I don't want that damn thing watching me all the time

From the moment the Xbone reared it's ugly head at E3, I grew sicker and sicker at Microsoft by the minute. Mandatory Kinect, DRM (which they eventually removed because they're pussies and didn't want Sony to beat them), region lock, used game fees, and a very small game selection! I couldn't comprehend it: Did Microsoft suffer some kind of life-changing brain injury or something? Their performance at E3 only served to disillusion me further, they even had agents at the Nintendo conference telling people to buy Xbone! "Just how sick and twisted did Microsoft get?!" I asked myself, exasperated. It was here that I resolved to shun the Xbone (although it meant shunning the new Halo and God, it hurt me to know this) and buy a PS4, because unlike the retards in Micro$oft they actually listen to their customers and don't go harping around the office thinking of stupid ideas like a mandatory camera that can see and hear you 24/7. Even though they've removed the DRM as of late, I'm still not impressed. Microsoft, either you make Kinect optional or I'm buying Sony this Christmas. This isn't a request, its a demand.......and a promise.

Look at what happened to the Vita, few games at launch was the main issue, the price was just a part of it. The funny part is most are fine with judging it off of it's launch games, now it has good games but you know how it's going down right now. The Xbone is heading down the same road with a real bad reputation behind it, only reason it's selling is because of it's devoted fanbase that only want a Microsoft console.

Honestly, the only thing they can do at this point is drop the price. And that's not even an option. Why?  Because the Kinect. That camera isn't cheap at all, and you're losing money if you drop the price down to $399.

The system is centered around the Kinect, so I won't even bother with that.

Honestly, I simply can't think of one major flaw. It seems like Xbox One is the ultimate package of smaller flaws and bad decisions. In fact after spending two hours laughing at their fist "introduction" of the console and the fall of Microsoft's stock right after that, I pretty much knew I won't be getting that, ever. It just looks like a glorified Tv controller (and it is watching you more than you are watching it *gasp*), to be frank.

They took out the online thing so that's a plus but I will never care about the console until they have games that I can't get anywhere else. At least now I'm not at the "lolno, I'm not buying your console ever" stage. Now it's just a matter of if they have any games worth getting it for. Otherwise, it's the only console I won't be getting ever. The two main games it has that I'm interested in are also on PS4 so I see no reason to get the Xbone at all.

Remove the TV stuff. The only reason why Netflix is used so much on the Xbox 360 is because the current console generation is ending (finally...) and the obligatory flood of shovelware is starting to hit the market as game devs try to squeeze every last penny out of the aging, soon-to-be-replaced consoles. If people wanted to watch TV, I'm pretty sure they'd just use a cable box... which is required for the TV to work, anyway.

You know what I find funny about their "centralized around the living room" approach? It's the one thing gamers don't actually care about. The only people who can make their console a success won't actually care about it because they have done nothing to woo the gamer.

This. So much this. Most gamers do not care about centralizing their entertainment to one room. Maybe a TV dedicated to gaming in their bedroom, a mid-ranged media PC that can also do some gaming (gotta have those indie exclusives like Killing Floor, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and Amnesia, brah) in another room, a TV for watching TV in the living room, but not all right there in the living room.

I'll admit that I have my PC and console gaming centralized to my bedroom, but if I ever feel like watching TV for whatever reason I'd go downstairs and watch it on the TV.

And what's more is that if everything is done in one room tied to one TV thanks to that one box.....well then when are people gonna game if everyone's watching TV? When are they going to game when a movie is playing? There is seemingly no ability to separate the functions so you would have to buy two overly priced not-gaming-machines if you wanted to play something.

<_< Splitting a screen in two so one person can game while another is watching a movie is a terribad idea btw. Who in their right mind would want to a ) mute their TV so they can't hear the game OR the movie or b ) have both sounds blaring in their ears? I dunno about you but I like to hear my games completely.
