Favorite PLACE from Pokemon games?

My favorite place is Sootopolis City. I mean, the idea alone is just unique and the design is pretty good. And that background music. I always walked around a few minutes there in every savegame just to "be" there and listen to the music.

Only thing I don't like about it is when I have to surf across and keep finding magikarp :/

And it took forever for me to find it xD But aside from that I like it.

I think my favorite place from the Pokemon games would have to be, the Hoenn region. It was my favorite region, when I played the old Pokemon games.

Where in Hoenn is that?

I was thinking of saying Sootopolis(Even if I can't freaking pronounce it), because the fact you can only reach it diving kinda gives it this secluded and cool feel to it.

However, i frankly have no idea what my favorite place is, theres to many of them to decide :/. I mean I like all the big cities with the big pokemalls or whatever and stuff, but I also like the smaller towns, and the forests and the, yeah you get the point, I can't frankly say one stands out for me as better then the rest, they're all pretty cool to me.

Atleast I can't think of any right now.

Well i guess theres pacifidlog town, the one with the city on water, i think that ones unique as far as the main series, however i don't find it that memorable exactly.(Its possible its weird name is part of the reason for that.)

Theres alsos stuff like the Bell tower, and whirl islands, which are both pretty cool for pokemon encounters.

Team plasma's castle is pretty cool in pokemon White.

The regi chambers in pokemon emerald are all quite cool, along with Kyroge, Groudon, and Rayquazes's lairs. (Sky pillars probaly my favorite of those three.)

Idk, i can't decide darnit :/. To many to choose from!

Only thing I don't like about it is when I have to surf across and keep finding magikarp :/

Omg I remember the first time I tried to find that freaking place! That is by far the hardest to find city like ever >_>

That said its still a nice place, just hard to get to. I get it and the other look alike place mixed up, and Hoenn has lots of water to get lost in. :P.

Citadark Isle from Pokemon XD. The headquarters of Cipher and the place where it all goes down. You are storming in, capturing every shadow pokemon and defeating every cipher peon you see. You fight the admins, Greevil's bodyguards, Lugia, and then the big man himself...well, short man but you know what I mean. Not to mention, this place had awesome music.

Ah I see, well its ok, i was just wondering since I can't really remember having seen that place from the last time i played through Emerald.

Looks cool! XD is like one of the only Pokemon games I haven't played. I have Colleseum and my sister has XD. I used to watch her play but the only place I remember is the place at the beginning where you live and the haunted house lab place.

I honestly cannot tell you. Way too many good towns and locations to pick. If I had to, i might have to go with Sootopolis City from the Hoenn region. It's possibly the most iconic city in any Pokemon game (except for maybe Castellia) and it just has a very cool atmosphere and feel to it. The colors, the architecture of the buildings, the music... it all blends together in a very nice way.

Gateon Port of the Orre region was also cool. I liked the lively sea-port feel it had to it.

You should definitely play it whenever you get the chance. I find it better than Colosseum in many aspects. A great sequel to an already great game in my opinion.

I want to say, "Goldenrod City" from Pokemon SoulSilver.

400px-PokemonHGSSGoldenrodCity.png

Main reason? Well, there's quite a lot there.

They have the:

  1. Radio Tower
  2. Magnet Train Station
  3. Global Terminal
  4. The obvious Department Store and Gym.

It was always my favorite city in the Pokemon games. :D

[sootopolis map lololol]

Oh. My. Goodness.

Dat music.

Funny you should mention, I actually downloaded a remix of that town's music and have been listening to it quite a bit lately. It has that tone where it's peaceful and mellow, but gives a feeling that it holds a legend and that your adventure is about to hit its climax.

Yeah, music is one of my favorite aspects of games as you can tell.

Anyhoo, my favorite location of Pokeymanz is the entire Johto region. You still get that feeling of adventure, but it also has that relaxed flair to it. The trainers have lower-leveled Pokemon, but I actually consider that a good thing since it gives you the opportunity to beef up any new friend you decide to add to your team. What's more, they kept it fresh with the new Pokemon, but included all of the classice 151 we grew to know and love. Game Freak just doesn't impliment that in games anymore.

And that trainer battle music.

Oh my.

So much win.

My favourite place in the pokemon games would have to be the Under from Pokemon Colosseum. Sadly I don't have any pictures of it, but I love the idea of a hidden underground city. It also has one of the strongest colosseums in the game hidden further within it.

I was acutally going to do this but couldn't think of the name :C And I like Agate Village because of

- The Berry Master dude with free stuff

- Connected to the Celebi place

- The music is peaceful and so is the town

I like the under too because of the music and how its a whole freakin' city underground!

I got three favorite locations:

Mt. Silver. This is partly due to having the battle with Red at the summit. It's an epic locale for a battle, and the hailstorm gives a nice touch. Plus, sometimes you get diamond dust instead of hail, which is pretty cool.

Giant Chasm. The memories of a fallen meteorite scar the land. It's got all the extraterrestrial pokemon hanging around too. I just like that forgotten land feel it has.

The Strange House from B2/W2. It explains the story of the ghost girl that would appear on the Marvelous bridge back in BW. It's nothing special itself, but the sidequest gives it an eerie and somber feel to it.

It also isn't a town at all in the series, at least to my knowledge.

I could be wrong, but at the same time it's waaaaaaay to expansive to be a 3rd-gen town.

My favorite areas are not in the main games, it's actually in one of the spinoffs, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team.

In this game, there are friends area, where you can find the pokemons you recruited in the dungeons.

But some of them are Beautiful!!!

Here's a site with all the friend areas, it's just magestic: http://www.psypokes.com/dungeon/friendareas.php

These are only pictures, sadly it's not as great as if you own the game.

I'd seriously recommend this game, it's a masterpiece.

But since this pokemon game is terribly rare and expensive, you can always find an emulator. It's not the same as if you are playing on a console, but it's something.

Hmm, tough choice. I could say what everybody else has with Sootopolis, because it's awesome, but I'll say Virbank City, from White/Black 2. I loved the atmosphere of everything, it's undescribable. And the music. I also love Laveridge Town (I think that's what it's called. The place with the flowers and Wally's house? From Gen 3?), Lavender Town, and the Sevii Islands.

Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something?

Call me old school, but my favorite place in all of the Pokemon games has to be Lavender Town. It had a very creepy atmosphere that you don't get anywhere else, and I like that. It also just had an interesting plot. Plus:

Realgam tower in the orre region has to have one of the coolest designs in pokemon.

Realgam_Tower.png

I love the design it just looks so awesome, a gigantic glass tower with a enormous dome on top just to battle pokemon in front of hundreds of watchers, I love it.

A few other places that come to mind are sootopolis, and the sky tower in 3rd gen, those two places are the first things that ever made me feel shock and awe in a game (didn't own many games besides emerald). The thought of two legendary beasts who controlled the biggest parts of the earth were in a intense battle, and then it's up to you and you alone to go and fine the 3rd legendary beast to put a stop to it, and then Rayquaza comes in and is all like, ZOOOOOM HEY GUYS WHATS UP, STOP FIGHTING OR I'LL KICK BOTH YOUR ASSES. Maybe that's not exactly how it goes but I still love that town.

I didn't think of these! I wouldn't say that any of them are a favorite because they are all very small. :C Not a lot of space to walk around in either but I remember liking the place where you can keep Murkrows and the place where you keep B.. starts with a B.. The blue thing that floats and has one eye.

What lovely death music xD I tried to play it on the piano but then I learned I can only play songs that need only one hand :C

I'm slowly beginning not to be scared to death when the music plays. But really that jigglypuff that you see on the related videos or whatever when you go to type in lavender town? Yeah that thing freaks me the heck out. (If you don't know what I'm talking about then you are a very fortunate person.)

Is it Beldum?

Yea, these places are awesome. :)

But there are some friends areas you get from rescues or when you recruit legendaries. And some of these places are just georgous.

I think my favorite place is where Rayquaza live, when he is recruited.

BELDUM! Yes! I can never remember that name.

I didn't know you could get legendaries :OO The last place I went on there was.. Mt. Thunder? Something like that. Its been a long time since my game broke. I have Red Rescue Team. What pokemon did you get at the beginning? I was Pikachu with a chickorita as a side-kick
