What if there was a My Little Pony FiM video game for XBOX, PS3, etc.?

Ok, so we all establish the an RPG or adventure-type is the idea, but what will the story be like? It has to either be the main story or some alternate branch-off from one point in the story, when will it game start (season 1, 2, 3 or 4...or 5), and how will the game begin? Some hidden prisoner being sentenced to death, some hidden soldier ready for battle, some wonder with no background, etc...

I think that the best move they could make for a MLP:FiM video game would have to be an RPG or MMO styled game. That way you can customize your pony to the fullest, perhaps import cutie marks, collect gear and items, including specialty items from the show that could be given during events/holidays. The world could be vast and they could even include locations such as the "far away lands" that Zecora is from. Also, you could include many different kinds of competitions, such as racing and flying and even magic duels. You could battle it out and hope the skills you have are high enough to win. You could do training sessions to better yourself if you're into competitive stuff, or go off an quests and adventures. Maybe even run into Daring Do at some point. Bosses would be fairly simple to create as well...Big dragons, a giant Timberwolf, the Hydra, Discord, Chrysalis, Trixie even. 

 

An MMO/RPG style has the best chances in the world of MLP:FiM fans. Not only is there a gaming experience, but you also can connect with fellow bronies and pegasisters who are playing. 

 

As far as the story, doing some form of "Elder Scrolls" opening wouldn't fit since there's only one hero. It could be perhaps a reverse Equestria Girls type of thing where maybe you start as a human who gets turned into a pony and are stuck in the pony world? Then your quest is to find out what brought you into the world and try to find a way to get back...then the story segment could just end with you realizing you like life there. I'm not to sure though ^^"

Make a cheap game on the Nintendo DS with money in mind trying to snag it from little girls parents.

 

 

I don't think it would go over well, commercially.  Too many conflicting measures of what makes a game "good" for a fandom and what makes a game marketable to your everyday consumer.

 

However, there is this, which is pretty damn funny.

Ah, I was unaware of the other games that have been made ^^" I'm still new to the world of MLP gaming, so I was just throwing something out there. Now there are other routes you could go with..like ponies with lost memories or something.

Why can't somepony just start by taking these ideas and add into a RGP maker VX or VX Ace game, it's a good starting point and if there is enough people it could evolve into something more. All it take is that one little step to get started.

I would love this for a handheld since i'm usually always on the go and an open world rpg sounds awesome only if it is scaled correctly to what the ponies would see.

It should follow its own story, sort of like the comics. It could/can reference the main series story too (again as the comics do) but not trample on it or other stories in the series (like the comics!  tis why I do enjoy them. they can be seamlessly inserted without nary a twitch)

While it can be done, keeping it kid friendly (as they would clearly want to do!) would be a challenge...

Also given Hasbro likes to work on minimal budget while sucking as much cash as possible, its also questionable as to how decent it would be overall.

 

I think it would also need to be 3D to work very well, or at least have higher end sprite.. and IMO the character look terrible in 3D (sooo much clipping and bad warping in the models... ugh) and low grade sprites are just.. well, cute, but not functional.

Oh I would love to see something like this done maybe in the likes of Skyrim wise gameplay except for it to be in 3rd or 1st person perspective. A bit of RPG aspects would be awesome too and I would like to see a free roam around the world as well.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. Hasbro already showed us what their idea of "game" is when they licensed their property out to Gameloft. If there ever is a pony game on PS4/XBONE, it'll most likely be less Dragon Age: Solar Eclipse, and more Pinkie Pie's Microtransaction Balloon Party of Fun!

i think that the actual gameloft game has good quality, the characters, the costumes, the places, to many ponies to get, i think is maked by people who knows the series.... in the other hand is a freemium model game like farmville, 

 

i would like to see something like skylanders or disney infinity for android and ios, a plataform game, an open world, and the figures of ponies using the telepods tecnology that  hasbro use in angry birds, a game like that with good development and funny will have my money.

It would be great if they could make a free roam game where you can play as any of the mane 6 and maybe some of the background ponies, each with missions for that specific pony, with the gta 5 method of switching between them (a character wheel for example) it would be amazing to fly at Mach 10 across the ever free forest, or use magic etc

I truly believe it would make, not only a lot of people very happy, but a lot of business sense for hasbro, I mean, come on, who here wouldn't buy an mlp game for Xbox, Playstation, or PC?

There could even be co-op online matchmaking, with special coop missions, and maybe even a character creator ( though I'd still prefer to play as RD ) sooo many ideas, maybe the whole game could be online free roam, like gta online, with a seperate single player mode.

Please can someone tell hasbro to get their butt in gear and get this done ?

You know, I was wondering about that too since Fighting is Magic got the boot and was shut down.

 

Maybe there should be a MLP game but it should stick to the show and also if possible, add some aspects of games in the past like Kingdom Hearts but making the story understandable but enjoyable.

Like Skyrim? This game will be a grand design for all of the mlp universe...assuming if Hasbro doesn't screw it up.
