This film came out on July seventeenth in Korea (where it was made) and the eighteenth in China, being a collaboration between the South and China. As you are likely able to tell from the trailer and the topic title, the film is about a gorilla that plays baseball.

 

After looking up the rather brief description of the film, it's about a girl that works at a circus; after her grandfather dies and leaves a debt behind she somehow manages to get him scouted into a baseball team (I didn't really understand how the hell that works, but it somehow does.)

 

It is based off a manhwa (a style of Korean comic) published in 1984 by a Huh Young-man called "The Seventh Team". He clearly thought he was a genius or he was very high.

 

Apparently it's the first film created in South Korea to be shot in 3D, which makes me a little sad, because there are some really good South Korean films and this has to be the first in that part of the industry,
