Would you want Soarin & RD to be a couple?

As much as i think that its a cute couple and all, i dont agree with the idea of having love interests in MLP. its suppose to be innocent and about friendship, not who likes who. Wouldn't suit the show very well imo.  -_-

No... whats with all the shipping threads lately? RD would be the last one to get into a romantic relationship. Why do people want FiM turn into G3? Soarin has no character development outside of being a wonderblot and will be willing to eat pie. I'm just not a fan of this ship at all. I'll stick with Twidash thanks. Besides I like Spitfire a lot more than Sorain in design and personality. 

 

If you want to ship them then do it but let's not put this into the show. I'm getting sick of saying this but again, leave love to the fanfics.

I think it's cute and I wouldn't be put off by it, but I have always kind of liked the idea of Rainbow Dash being into other mares. I think that would be pretty cute as well. I can go for either interpretations.

Personally, I think it would be cool if Rainbow Dash has a crush on Applejack, and vice versa. I think those two could work out.

I agree a bit about the mane six getting into a relationship. But, I don't think Rainbow Dash would get into one, at least not in this time of her life.

Well, realistically, the overall lack of character development with Soarin' is what makes me the least likely to support this. Also, I picture dash as fairly young, and think she would still think boys are gross.

I think that shipping belongs in fanfics and shouldn't come into the show. I can't even bring myself to support Sparity even though I feel for Spike. We need to remember that this is a show for little girls for one, also it could succumb to mediocre and cliche story lines if we had a canon couple.

I approve of it outside the show :3 they are very very cute together. I just don't think mlp needs to focus on romances at the moment. Maybe later on but not now. One character with a love interest is enough.

I wouldn't have a problem with it.  I think they could make a good match.  I'd be rather interesting to see Dashie deal with the fact that Soarin' is her commanding officer.

While it's one of my favorite fanon ships, I'm not wild about it being portrayed in the show.  With next to no character development over seasons 1 thru 3, they'll have to start developing him now.  If they rush it, he'll just be another cliche hearthrob along the lines of Flash Sentry.

They do seem to be pretty perfect for each other, they will (eventually) both be wonder bolts and they look good together, but I can't help feeling like Soarin is almost a little but underdeveloped as a character atm, so I'll ask the question everyone thinking:

Do you have any proof that she's only 14? From what I remember from Lauren Faust herself, she said the mane 6 are were around ages 18-20 due to most of them living on there own. She only said their maturity level is between 12-18

Well someone said that they're "as old as you want them to be". And CMC just can't be teens or even preteens because they don't even look like them. That's why I think Mane 6 are 13-17.

There is no solid evidence of Soarin's age.  We'd have to assume a lot of stuff, even to get a rough idea.  We'd have to assume how old he was when he joined the Wonderbolts and how many ranks he'd have to climb to become a Lieutenant.

 

Also, what makes you think they would care about their age difference?  Bringing up an age difference is as irrelevant as bringing up race.  If the couple doesn't care, it is meaningless.  We have no evidence that Rainbow Dash or Soarin' would care about whatever age difference there is.
