What new pony design/race do you want to see in S4?

Season 4 is just around the corner and just like everybody els I have always seen 4 different types of ponys. Unicorn, Pegasus, Earth pony, and Alicorn but if you go on Equestria Daily (like I do) there talking about a Bat pony race! What the heck is that all about?

 

And back in season 3 just out of the blue they introduced a new pony named Ms. Harshwhinny that had a totally different design than any other mare.

 

So season 4 mite be doing something different this year. So what do you want to see in season 4?

The bat pony race were shown in Luna Eclipsed, where Luna was being carried on a chariot by two ponies with bat wings. So, I want to see bat ponies. Maybe, snake ponies if they make them.

I for one hope the Bat Ponies come back. I always thought they were interesting (And since Luna was there to change Nightmare Night into a different kind of celebration, I'm fairly sure they weren't just regular pegasai in costume).

Am I the only one who is absolutely terrified and very nervous about the integrity of that bubble >_<, especially the way the sea ponies man handled the thing.

 

That being said I'd be down for sea ponies.

First of all, I agree with pretty much everypony else who posted in the thread - Luna's bat ponies would make an amazing addition to the show.

 

Second, has anypony seen a Crystal Pegasus or a Crystal unicorn? I sure haven't... I'm pretty sure it just means that Crystal Ponies are their own race in themselves. Maybe it's not possible for there to be a crystal unicorn/pegasus, but the Mane Six were transformed at the end of The Crystal Empire.

 

Anyway, what do you think?

Bat ponies seem like a nice addition, though they seem more evil than anyone would think they're good. Sea ponies would be good as well.

Bat ponies and pegasi can take to the sky, sea ponies would take to the sea, and there's another type of pony that I've heard about, jungle ponies. People have been talking about them, and if Lauren adds them in, they'd make good friends with earth ponies. I'm sure Applejack would befriend them.

Although this is My Little Pony, it's changed since G1. There still has to be mainly a happy atmosphere, but there's been times when there have been "Scary" things. I don't think bat ponies would bee to scary, especially considering they're a type of pony.

G1 was actually a tad bit dark. Slightly darker in terms of villains than G4, although the themes weren't as strong and it had no characterization at all.

 

As far as what I would like to see, only the aforementioned bat ponies are interesting. For anything else, I'd prefer that the writers capitalize on resources they have already established but haven't used yet.

Exactly! More animals in the hoofed family. More horses, deer, you name it. And maybe even Hippogriffs! How cool would that be!

 

Perhaps instead of Sea-ponies, they'll make Hippocamps. The mermaid version of aquatic equines. They haven't done that yet in MLP either.

Along with the bat ponies, however, I think they will release on season 4.

I would love for them to show more bat ponies.  They could just be a nocturnal race that lives in a cave in a thundercloud or something.  They wouldn't even have to be evil.  They could actually be followers of Luna, like how most ponies are followers of Celestia.  

 

I'm not sure about the sea ponies, it'd be a little hard for the air-breathing races to ever interact with them.  

 

The griffons would be good to elaborate on.as well.

 

Something interesting to add might be a Qilin.  They are usually described as a chimera unicorn, but they can have the head of a dragon.  (Rarity and Spike's baby?  lol, jk jk)  They can look scary, but they are a sign of good luck.

I think they should just add to the ponies themselves. When you think about it, It makes sense! I think things like changes in size and height would be a little more realistic then all of the ponies being the perfect size. Don't you all think so?
