Help with character accents.

I'm having trouble making accents for the characters. I'm in the middle of a fic where the CMC go to Manehatten and meet the Manehatten CMC and confront one of Babs' old bullies, the one who made her have that psychological reaction of covering her flank with her tail.

 

However, I'm definitely not getting a cutie mark for having them talk appropriately. Some are easy, like saying y'all, but it's less about the words themselves and HOW they say them. For instance, Applebloom makes Babs into a 2 syllable word. Like Ba-ubs.

 

Babs has a Brooklyn accent,and I'm not that up on the dialect aside from saying 'youse' instead of you.

 

Maybe I should just stop thinking about it so much. While I've written stories before, none of them were fanfiction, so I'm feeling a little anxious about posting my first pony fanfic here.
