How close are you to leaving the fandom?

I feel the fandom makes the fandom unenjoyable. The moment I find a community just as active to hang out in that I share interests in, I am more or less gone.

At the time which this topic was posted, I did actually leave the fandom. I was pretty darn upset at the fact that Twilight got wings. It was way to soon and it took a lot of the charm and relatability away from her character. Although I stuck around a little bit longer. That's when Equestria Girls came out; that was the final straw. Seeing the way the show was going, I left the fandom. Luckily I came back during season 7.

Then there was season 8. That season was terrible, and I disliked a ton of things from it (Mainly the School of Friendship. I also wasn't a huge fan of the student six). I actually took a little break from the show mid-season. The quality was just so lacking. I came back afterwards, and decided to mainly just focus on the other seasons.

Currently I'm not close to leaving. Even though Pony Life is kinda bad, it's not bad enough to sour my opinion of FIM. Plus, it's fun to take this off-time to develop my OCs further.

I left once when I lost interest (somewhere in the begining of season 5) and then came back with season 7 finale. It doesn't have to do with anything show-related thought, I just got tired

But luckily some unknown pony force brought me back and I'm planning to stay as long as fandom alive:yay:

Similar for me.

Though I never lost interest.  I quit watching it very soon after the movie came out.  Didn't stop liking the show, it's just my girlfriend broke up with me and she was the one I watched it with all the time.  Bummed me out and I kinda just stopped and didn't get back to it.  Then when I wanted to get back to it after a couple of years I learned it was heading into it's last season and it made me sad again.  Had no interest in seeing something that meant so much to me end.  I knew it was inevitable, but still.  I didn't want to bear it.

I pretty much started getting back into it again around the same time I joined this forum.  Glad I did, I've missed it, and I'm glad theres still a bit of a fandom left after it ended. :mlp_icwudt:  Now I gotta eventually find it in me to watch the rest of the show.    Already know I'm gonna sob like a little baby on the last episode.

I've been in it for 9 years now and will remain for life.

I haven't really been here that long like actively involved nor do I even know if I was a big part of it to begin with xP I mean I watched stuff in the beginning but I didn't really get involved much back then outside youtube commenting lol I think it's more just fading in and fading out interest. Love to make some more pony art though~
