How close are you to leaving the fandom?

No where near close. I've been in the fandom since the first half of season 1. I have no intentions of leaving, ever.

I find people that  make a big deal of leaving the fandom, the overly dramatic ones.. getting on the bandwagon because it's the popular thing to do.

I don't really see how one can "leave" a fandom. It's kind of a silly term.  I see "leaving" as just not participating in any discussions/forums/watching the show/buying merch. Leaving implies you're somewhere in physical space and you leaving it. The fandom for the most part is an online community, so you've never really "left" you're just not on that particular board/forum/website anymore.

If you're "leaving the fandom" good on ya, but you don't need to announce it on a public board. It seems really silly to me for someone posting a topic on a MLP forum about leaving the fandom or thinking about leaving the fandom.

Let me put it this way:

MLP gave me new eyes, new ears, new feelings, a new life, and everytime i imagine my life without MLP i imagine myself blind, deaf, dead, i don't want to sound like a psycho but personally i see this awesome site better than Facebook (i don't like Facebook though) i see the episodes as a perpetual teaching for surviving life and if may i say it, i meet wonderful people in the fandom than other places, since i get used to MLP Life i feel more creative and useful than i was before, so i never gonna leave this fandom because simply i start living!

i would NEVER leave this fandom. I absolutely love it and the show. I've come so far in this fandom and met so many awesome people through it. The show never ceases to give me that "warm fuzzy feeling". The whole twilight alicorn thing kinda made me flip out in a good/bad way. I was excited for it, but at the same time, it IS only season 3... it sure seemed like something they should have done alot further along in the seasons but thats just me. But yeah, Not leaving the fandom EVER! ^_^

Not even close in a million years....

Seriously, i have no reason to leave, i still enjoy the show, maybe its because i probably will continue to for a while i'm sure since i'm pretty easily entertained. Not to mention ponies have a way of cheering me up, and making me feel better.

Not to mention the awesome people here who cheer me up and make me feel better! And the awesome art and other various community creations that this awesome community makes, and the people here are some of the nicest people i've known.

Overall i just feel wanted here, and i feel as thought people are here for me here, and thus i don't plan on leaving anytime soon at all.

Sure i may get busy and not be on for a few days or something, but i'm not planning on leaving.

It depends what you mean by leaving the fandom.

If you mean stop liking MLP, then no, I still love the show and will probably continue to do so for quite a long time.

If you mean leave the community, then that's different. I'm growing more and more distant from the community as a whole. The initial excitement of being part of the brony fandom is wearing off and I'm becoming more and more disillusioned with the community. A few months ago I'd have said that I'd never leave; now I'm not so sure.

So if nothing changes for me, I'll probably carry on being a brony, but I won't be interacting with the fandom as much.

Not even remotely close. Both the show and the stuff the fandom creates give me something to do, so I see no reason to stop being a fan. If you want me to be honest, "leaving the fandom" just feels like a way to cause drama in many cases. I don't get it.

Not even close, even if I am barely active in it. I'm really only active in the fandom on here and deviantART. Everywhere else I'm more active in the gaming parts of it. I'm not planning on leaving it any time soon, though.

I will only leave the fandom when I don't enjoy the show anymore and I'm not able to interact with the community positively and civilly any longer. I'm certainly not at that stage, though the end of Season 3 seems to have brought me much closer to that point. I know that my opinions are not wanted, at least on places like EQD and the Twilicorn forum here. Other than that, nah. I'm here for the long haul, and many people are going to have to be much bigger jerks if they want to get rid of me.

I don't see myself leaving right now since I am hyped for Season 4. Even when I was skeptical about Alicorn Twilight and Equestria Girls, it never occurred to me to leave. The show will need to go through extreme changes in order for me to leave which will most likely never be used in this type of show.

When the show reaches the end, I still won't leave but I may not be involved in the fandom as much as I am right now.

I don't think I would leave the fandom, but I think I am damn close to leaving. I am getting real sick of some of this stuff. This used to be a fun little show and fandom, then a giant fucking flood of porn and clopfics came out. I can't look for a good vector or something without seeing a million pictures of porn and I can't read good fan-made comics without seeing a buncha links to clopfics. I can't even talk to somepony that isn't a brony without them just instantly saying: "You jack-off to ponies?". I sometimes think about leaving every time I see this stuff. It's getting really stupid.

You really, really need to find a different part of the internet to hang around in, I barely ever stumble on iffy content unless I'm being brave(or maybe just stupid) and browsing pony stuff in a way that's tempting fate and asking for it to happen.

Not close.

I don't even know how I could leave a Fandom I've already invested so much time and money into. (A bit of an exaggeration) I don't care what some people complain about on the internet or drama. It comes down to what I think, I still enjoy MLP and I still enjoy the things this Fandom produces.

Therefore I will never leave until I'm dead.

I'm nowhere close to leaving the fandom.  I've made so many friends in the year and a half I've been a brony (Wow, it's really been that long? ohmy.png ), why would I want to?  I'm discovering new fan made stuff every day, like some great brony rock music, fan made animations like Button's Adventure, and so many other stuff.  Now I just have to wait for another month and a half for season 4.

Im not even sure im in the fandom to leave it if i wanted to.  :maud:

Really im just a insane Pinkie/Pinkamena fan who just watches the show and visits this forums because i like it here.  :maud:

Im not sure what prerequisites are required to be part of this fandom as this is all still new to me in a sense, so whether i am a part of the fandom or not idk. If i am i doubt im leaving anytime soon if ever.  :maud:

Nope.

I love the fandom and everything in it.

Keep in mind though, you can leave the fandom, but still be a Brony.

Being involved in the fandom doesn't make one a Brony.

It's watching the show that does.

Nopity nope nope to another nope.

-This fandom makes me happy everyday, I think about it everyday, which for a while made me think I was obsessed, but I realized that it is just that great to think about it everyday. Before I joined the fandom, I actually didn't like bronies. I never even knew grown men watched it. (BTW: BlueMonkeyYT is a brony to any of you Minecraft fans.)

-It has changed my life, and I personally laugh at the fact that people insult it. its so great because people don't know what its really like!

I reckon that depends on what is meant by "close". I don't have any intention to leave the fandom any time soon, but it wouldn't take much to get me to leave. For one thing, I'd quit watching if I was in a committed relationship headed for marriage with a girl who wanted me to stop watching. I don't care about Ponies that much.

Or if the show blatantly supported something that's against my faith. That'd get me to leave, too.

Neither of those things seems likely to happen, but if they did, I'd leave pretty quickly.
