Characters that should have episodes about them

This topic has come up for a few minor characters, so I thought I'd just make an overall thread on the topic.  Any character that you feel should have an episode focusing on them?

Erm... I dunno. Maybe the Princesses? Like, explaining the history behind Luna and Celestia (how they defeated Discord, how Celestia banished Luna to the moon, etc... ), or maybe explaining how Cadence went from a pegasus to an alicorn.

• Princess Celestia

Those are the two that come to mind. Celestia is my second favorite pony, so it'd be nice to see more of her...

Big Macintosh needs an episode and so does Princess Celestia! It would be really cool if in season four Hasbro decided to give like a few of the fan favorites a bigger part in the episode or have an episode where the mane six aren't the focus where it's a few other ponies.

I agree with Scootalove that Princess Celestia and Luna should have a episode about their pasts. That would be so awesome! Like the whole like "How did they get here?" "Who are their parents?" and other questions could be answered. That would be really neat!

I wonder what it would be like if Lyra had her own episode. Then again, I'd doubt she'd have an episode.

But a character that does need an episode would have to be the Princess of the night herself.

Okay, as for my answer, I say Princess Celestia needs an episode. (For the love of God, she needs some character development) and Silver Spoon. Why Silver Spoon and not Diamond Tiara? Because I think DT truly is mean, while maybe SS has some reason for following her around.

My hoping against hope side (the side that will never happen ever) is a Fancy Pants episode, because he has so much potential (and no it's not because he wears a suit and therefore is handsome. ... Well, maybe a little bit.  )  But seriously, it'd be cool to see into the life of a Canterlot pony with a bit more depth.

Sure, I'd be happy to see an episode centering Big Mac, or even Diamond Tiara get there focus, but c'mon. It's been 3 seasons and Celestia still needs an episode for herself(especially since Luna has Luna Eclipse while ACW and the Crystal Empire technically go to Cadance)

MAYOR MARE! PLEASE!

 

A episode about Mayor Mare may make her not as underrated and unloved as she is now. Plus, it might be interesting to see the everyday life of the mayor on Ponyville.

 

An episode about Princess Celestia would be nice too. Oh, and a Silver Spoon one as well.

For vinyl, we've seen her a couple of times in some episodes, and heck, she even appeared in equestria girls! So it's only a matter of time before she gets something more than just an appearance.

 

As for Octavia, if she is basically the background version of rarity with voice, sophistication, and class, I REALLY want to see more about her other than just appearing in canterlot parties.

What about an episode about Star Swirl the Bearded? It would be a great occasion to learn more about Equestria's history, and an important character in the show. (somewhat)

I think that Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake should have an episode to themselves. It would just be how the 2 see the world and going on some odd adventure. It would also be cool to see how their powers developed.

 

Star Swirl should also get just, so we can learn more about him.

1. Derpy: the record needs to be set straight that Derpy is not nor has ever been an offensive stereotype, I know such an episode is unlikely after what happened but still.

 

2. Applejack's parents: the whole idea that childrens cartoons cannot deal with death in a thoughtful, responsible manner is a load of bull. Rugrats, Hey Arnold and even Sesame Street have dealt with the subject though with Hey Arnold it did leave it a tad open ended to be fair. It would add to an already great character with Applejack and might help dispel her undeserved reputation as the "boring one".

 

3. Big Macintosh: he is my favorite stallion, but seriously Granny Smith and Applebloom have had episodes and of course AJ has had them so why not Big Mac? 

 

4. Celestia and Luna: more particularly their relationship with each other and a bit more on Celestia outside of her roles as ruler and mentor.

I love how when the creative staff does something that fans don't want it's destroying the series, but when they do something that fans do want it's pandering. They can't win, can they?

 

This is pretty typical for a fandom, but I was hoping that it wouldn't be as prevalent in Bronies. Fans are never happy. They won't allow it. You can't be a 'fan' without suffering and persecution. Supposedly.

LOL that would present a rather interesting opportunity to parody the aspects of what a "girls show" should be and also give the message that just because someone likes some of that stuff dosen't automatically make them 2 dimensional and shallow.

It's my current phase talking no doubt, but I want to see an episode in where we get to see some Thunderlane and Rumble bonding time. The only time we've seen the two in the same episode was Hurricane Fluttershy, and they weren't actually on screen at the same time, since Thunderlane was at the hospital, sick. It was brought to my attention by some comments on Derpibooru pics that they're the only known pair of brothers revealed so far on the show. That's partially why I jumped on Thunderlane as a new favorite side character, as I've always had a soft spot and weakness for brother relationships :3

 

But anyway, maybe not as a prime, prime focus *as I just can't see the show realistically suddenly doing that*, but an episode where they get high amounts of screen time, playing around, hanging out, etc. Possibly with some of the other pegasi at points, like Cloud Chaser and her sister.

I'm told shimmer got some focus in the comic.
