I was thinking about writing a fanfiction, and I wanted to know if any of you would read it.

 

Ah, but there's a twist. It's not just going to be any sort of fanfic, it's going to be an epic. That's right, an epic. An extremely long story of heroism told in verse.

 

Two things, really. First, for curiosity's sake, has this ever been done before? Second, what do you think a good topic would be for my epic?

well there goes that idea...

 

Just kidding. I wouldn't do that. I'm thinking of rewriting the pilots in epic form.

 

EDIT: Here's a snippet from what I have so far. Please tell me what can be improved.

 

In Equestria, that magical land,

six ponies made a magnificent stand

against the darkness of Nighmare moon.

Listen well, my friends, and soon

I'll tell you all of their great quest,

Of friendship put to the ultimate test.

 

Twilight Sparkle, Equestria's own, 

Resided in Canterlot, where she had grown 

As the princess's student. Few could compare

to the magical power of this unicorn mare.

She lay in the garden, reading her book,

A tale of great wonder, a novel that took

her back to the past, when the land was still young.

A time about which many songs were still sung.

That's really good so far! Great idea to make it an epic, I don't think it's been done before. You have my full support in this. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
