He thought he'd stay where he was, no sense in a bunch of folks running around in the dark.  "Think I"ll stay here, after all some should remain at camp.  Don't want everyone running around getting in each other's way or lost and have someone sneak into camp and steal stuff or something." He said.

Chivalry was a bit confused. was this the same pirate thug who tried to start a small war back there? And what was that he said about self induced punishment? Did he apologize and Chivalry wasn't there to hear it? "Great now I feel like an ass -sigh-. I guess even a drunken pirate like you has plenty of honor, and I respect that. Sorry for smacking you around a little, Just mad, you know?"

Chivalry looked into the distance and saw a couple of other ponies. "Hey Crim, who's that? More for the expedition? Or maybe the enemy..." Everyone else seemed to hear they're voices. "Hey I'm going to go take a look, you can come if you want." Jus tthen Chivalry scouted ahead quietly towards the oncoming company.

Sand stared at the stallion, mostly at where he had been stabbed. She didn't quite know what to think yet. He could easily have done that to himself, or somepony could have done it to him. If it did happen to be someone else who did it, it could've been self defense. There were hundreds of possibilities, most of which seemed to make this stallion untrustworthy. She took a step back, ready to run if the stallion tried to attack her. Rakon isn't that far away, I'll go to him if there's any trouble. She thought.

 Willow let out a yelp when she noticed that she and Orion were being followed by the sound of footsteps. "Orion, we should get going. NOW. We're being tracked down by somepony, come on!" Willow said to her brother hurriedly, tugging at his hoof.

Blasted Nova leaped up into the trees and followed the two figures. They seemed to have been fleeing the area.

"Hmmm...they seemed to have been spying on us at the camp." Blast speculated. He couldn't really prove it, though. He just assumed from how fast they were going, they must've been up to something. "Looks like I'll have to follow them and find out what they were up to." Blast remained in the trees and followed them, hoping they'd stop eventually.

So he's got the ability to kill... Even when he's wounded. Sand thought, analyzing the stallion. She took a few steps back, seeing him as a serious threat. Either he's got the ability to kill, or he's a liar. Either way I shouldn't be near him. She thought. She wasn't going to just turn and run, she would have to slowly get away.

Pavisa shook her head, still blushing over the way she reacted to Silver Heart's approach.  "It's all taken care of by hoof, I couldn't dream of affording an enchanted set of armor.  Er, thanks for helping me out of that."  She picked up a piece of her equipment and started adjusting some straps and clamps so that it would go on more quickly than it came off.  Well, more quickly than it normally came off.  Having somepony with magic help her take the armor off was new to her, but it helped a lot.

 

She turned her head towards the commotion coming from the rest of the camp.  Jeez...  Maybe I should just sleep with my armor on!  She picked up another piece of her armor to start getting it ready to put back on quickly, watching the direction the disturbance was coming from as she did.  "You know much about armor then, miss Silver Heart?"

Steel read her body language and knew that she was planning on getting away. "please you got to believe me and if it makes you feel better" steel took all his weapons off of him while keeping them in there sheaths and tossed them to the ground "no weapons and if you want I'll take off the other pouch it has since pain pills and some medicine".

-if I push comes to shove I'll fight with out a weapon, I can kill just as easily without a blade as I can with one-steel thought

So he had weapons... That's a bad sign. Sand thought. She started to turn, ready to run any second. If the stallion had weapons, he was obviously a fighter, and could work with or without them. Unless he's heavily reliant on weapons, he could still be very threatening. She thought. She may have been strong, but she wasn't going to take any chances.

Steel sighed "yes I had weapons but that's because Iv spent enough time out here to know that one should carry at least one, if I hadn't been carrying a weapon I would be dead, why won't you help me I'm not going to hurt you I only fight when I have to and I only kill if my life depends on it please" steel said as he pushed on his shoulder to slow the blood flow

"Don't worry, sweet sister of mine. What did I tell you?" Orion crooned as he flexed his newfound wings slowly, feeling the surge of power as he did. "Now I can watch over you, as you did for... Nggh..! for me."

 

He allowed his sister to lead him on, though did little to increase his speed.

 

"It's hardly a crime for family to protect each other anyway, don't you think?"

 

His newfound horn illuminated the area with ease, filling it with electric blue light and thousands of swarming sparks: a spell he favoured not for its efficiency, but its beauty - like the stars themselves had been brought to earth.

 

"See the stars Willow! Even they Nggh..! protect us now!"

Redwave stretched out: oblivious to the dangers about. With so many ponies apparently standing guard, he was happy to doze in the knowledge that even should something slip by them, Kingfisher would deal with it in due course.

 

Kingfisher meanwhile, had concernes about the missing member - Blast. She had forced herself to learn enough of tracking and forestry to at least make a reliable attempt to scout the area. Without alerting Red, she slipped away from camp.

Silver Heart looked back and forth between Pavisa and the camp before levitating the rest of Pavisa's armor next to her. "Of course I'm glad to be of help. If you'd ever like help again feel free to ask. As for my experience with armor, my mother taught me medicine, she used to be an adventurer herself so she made me practice taking armor off of other ponies...in case I ever needed to heal somepony in a full suit. Other than that..." Silver Heart paused again as she looked back towards the camp again noting that most of the ponies were heading off in one direction, while some remained behind and one went into the forest. Silver looked back at Pavisa before speaking again, "...I've only worn cloth and chainmaile myself."

Rakon was starting to get a bit bored with noting to do.  He decided to fly up into the air a bit to see if he could see what the others, and especially Sand, were up to, assuming he could see them at all.  With a few flaps of his wings he took to the air.  He hovered in the air and looked in the direction the other ponies,l and Sand, had gone off in, looking to see if he could see them, and looking a bit to each side as well.@,

Sand finally bolted, instantly looking for Rakon. She would feel a lot safer with a dragon who she trusted than with a pony she didn't. The minute I scream, he's gonna kill me. I've just gotta get out silently and hope for the best. She thought. The whole time she was prepared for a fight, but that was only if she absolutely needed to fight.

Pavisa smiled at Silver Heart again.  "You've had medical training, then?  That's good to know, I'm glad at least somepony here can treat a wound..."  She turned her gaze back to the camp again, trying to take stock of the party.  Kingfisher is gone...  Could it be something serious?  I'm sure she can handle herself, but if she's slipped out then something could be up...  She looks at Silver Heart and smiles awkwardly.  "This is going to sound really dumb considering you just helped me take it off, but...  Could you use your magic to help me put my armor back on?  I'm afraid something might happen soon, I should be ready."

Silver Heart nodded. "That does seems like a good idea...something seems to be happening now," she said as she levitated the armor back onto Pavisa. It's timed really well too...since we were just setting up camp. Anyway, I've got some practice with medicine I've got a lot of training but no live experience. My mother was the one that was requested but she thought this would be a good experience for me. Did you receive a letter too or were you ordered to assist this...uh, group?" Silver Heart did a final tug on all of the armor straps to make sure they were set correctly "Good to go?"

Blizzard had been watching Blast chase after the two voices when he noticed a glint in his peripheral vision. Looking over he spotted the quiet pony who had been with the dragon running away from some new pony who looked injured, but seemed to be putting on a bundle of weapons. The stranger sounded like he was calling for help from the mare, but Blizzard didn't want to take any chances. "Hey! What are you doing here!?" Blizzard demanded of the new pony as he flew down and hovered in front of the new pony to try and block his path. Blizzard may not know the silent mare, but she was part of their group so she was at least a comrade for the time being, so Blizzard made sure to keep himself between the stranger and the mare as she ran. Besides, anypony who carries that many weapons has to be trouble, you usually don't meet friendly ponies that are heavily armed out in the woods.

Willow Starsinger

 

Normally, Willow would've been comforted by Orion's trick: he always did it for her when she was crying or feeling down to lighten up her spirits. He always said to her, when he did the trick, "Don't worry, sister, everything will be okay and it always will be," to cheer her up. It always did. She heard the footsteps behind her get louder, and she quickened her pace. She was worried about Orion's incessant grunting in between his sentences and decided she'll help it later when they were safe.

 

If they'll be safe.

 

She tried as hard as she could to use a teleportation spell 10 feet away, but she couldn't do it. She was never nearly as good at magic as her brother; and besides, she was too tired to use magic anyway. She was eventually too caught up in her thoughts and didn't watch where she was going. 

 

She tripped over a log and bruised her hoof.

Pavisa tugged her helmet back on as her armor slipped into place.  "Thanks...  My CO received a letter, which I'm assuming had details about this assignment.  He passed the responsibility on to me."  She continued gazing around the camp.  Where did Kingfisher and Blast go?  The guard turned to look at Silver Heart again, lowering her voice.  "Hey, if something does happen, stay behind me.  I'll keep you safe."  One of her ears twitches and she turns her head to gaze into the woods.  I think I heard something...  Was it over there?

Kingfisher muttered as she pushed through a bush of then with nothing more than annoyance: following sounds which she assumed would be the stallion, but keeping her cutlass loose out of paranoia in the dark. Changing tactics, she drew and simply started to cut her way through any foliage in her way as she carefully made her way towards the sounds.

 

Somewhere up ahead she could make out a hint of blue light at a distance. Deciding to act on her initiative, she changed course to start slowly making her way towards the light.

Blast followed the duo for a while. One of the figures seemed to have attempted a teleportation, but it must've failed, miserably. While he was up in the trees, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched himself. He tried to shaken the feeling and continued on, but was stopped when one of the figures seemed to have fallen and broken something. He jumped out of the tree and landed next to the two.

"Are you okay?" He asked the seemingly wounded pony. "You seem hurt."
