Which pony would you prefer in a time of need?

Probably Twilight since shes one of the more rational of the group. Twilight and I would talk it out and she would say stuff to calm me down. She seems like a calm pony in general and she would be willing to listen for as long as I had to talk. If Twilight wasn't available then probably Rarity. Rarity is one of my favorites, and for some reason I think she'd be good at calming you down. I guess its kind of odd I picked those two, since we know their parents are alive, and they've never lost anypony but I think I'd rather have someone who has this calming effect on you rather than someone that would understand. I don't know I'm odd.

just gonna say this before i go on i respect your opinion i don't mean to offend you. the way pinkie pie acts is she want's to make you smile yes well say someone died and you were really upset i would probably say that her way of making people happy wouldn't always work depending on the situation and she would probably make it worse

 

I respect your opinion as well. But, people deal with deaths in their own way. Some people, wanna be sad about it and vent for a while. But, I am more of the type who wants to cheer myself up as quickly as possible. I've had a grandmother , a Grandfather and a dog die in the past 5 years. And for me, it was always better to just maybe talk it over for a few moments and then cheer myself as fast as possible.

 

But, like I said some people deal with death in different ways than others.

She'd probably help me through... Pretty much any tough emotional spot that could ever confront me.

I would prefer Twilight since, she would probably find a way to talk to me and maybe make me feel better during my time of grief or when one of my relatives dies. Sometimes, I would want to be alone.

When I'm in some emotional trouble, I really just need someone to listen more than anything. In such a situation, my first pick would be Fluttershy. Because when I'm stressed out or upset, I don't really need advice. I just need someone to be quiet and let me spill my heart. Usually, when I get someone to hush and listen to me when I'm feeling blue, I can just talk some sense into myself and decide to do better.

 

Pretty much all this. Were I in such a bad situation, the first thing I would look for would be someone I can talk with to get everything off my chest before it consumes me. Either that or a kind shoulder to cry on and Fluttershy fulfills both those perfectly. Alternately, I would choose Celestia, because she no doubt knows the pain loss can bring, not only from being separated from Luna for a thousand years, but from watching everyone she's ever cared about fade away with age.

At first I was like, "Dood, Fluttershy obviously!". But unless it was the death of a pet or something I think we'd both just end up curled in a ball whimpering and I'd be the one having to cheer her up. (Don't cry Fluttershy!)

I'd have to pick Applejack... she just seems like she would be the most down to earth and understanding about those kinds of things.

But yeah, I personally would go with Rainbow Dash as well, because racecar. We all know that speed is often a good thing to have on your side in a pinch, and she most certainly has quite a bit of that.

AJ by faaar, I feel like she'd care the most and help you out in whatever situation it is. Actually, i can't really see any of the others caring. Especially not Rarity, Flutters, or RD. Anyway I wouldn't want sompony to comfort me, but rather somedragon! That's right; I want Spike to cheer me up when I'm down. He has the lighthearted-ness and soft spoken tone of Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy and the maturity of Twilight, Rarity and Applejack not to mention his boldness of Rainbow Dash.
