Well i wasn't going to say scoot but i assumed if i suggested a new young filly people would point out we already have 3 main fillies.

So i had to craft it to pre empt any no's (or limit it).  Dear God I just fan pandered in a bucking forum post, now i feel dirty lol.  this must be how the show feels.

I would be all for the adoption angle, but then the issue comes that the writers are either going to

 

A: Depending on the age of the filly, the character will have to deal with that responsibility of not getting as much free time, or having to give her to a foalsitter, or be a CMC playmate so the character can still have their own episode from time to time.

 

B:Get one dedicated episode then almost no screen time after(Ex: Pinkie and the Cakes babies)

I know that. I was just making a comparison because it seems the adopted kid would either take over the show, or show up once in a prominent role, then get downgraded to a side character that rarely shows up. And it's not like there aren't PLENTY of movies/TV shows that have to deal with raising a baby, so that's not really a good excuse anyway.

 

And if it IS a blank flank, then you know the CMC would snatch him/her up right and make her a member. See, this is exactly the issue I'm talking about. This introduction is already starting to jam the new kid into everything and she/he doesn't even exist. If they did it well, I'm not opposed to the idea,but it's likely not going to happen for the reasons I stated.

I was being goofy.  it should have been clear.  thought i think the cmc drafting people would be adorable.  "your coming with us flutter shy!"

I think it would depend on the kid, and who's the kids parent would be.

 

Could you imagine Scootaloe jealousy of rainbow dash got a kid?  I know they've done the jelous thing but not with a cmc member.

Flutter shy having a kid and angel feeling second class (that's gonna end bad).

The over all neglect a kid would have to feel just cause of all twilight sparkles duties?

Imagine if rarity spoiled her kid in front of sweetie bell?  (hell i'd be curious of the friend ship is witch craft version LOL).

I can't imagine apple jack raising a kid cause she really doesn't seem to mentoring apple bloom very well.

I mean a kid might give apple jack a much needed look, but i'm not sure she'd grow because of it.

 

and lastly there's pinkie pie.  Who knows how that would look.

I've thought about this before, and I think it would be very sweet if one of the mane six had a child.  Adopted or not.  Twilight is very much Spike's adoptive mother already.  I can see all of them being good parents.  Well, I'm not too sure about Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie...

It's an alright idea, but I just don't see any of the mane 6 adopting a kid. There is just no reason for it. The one who would most likely not get a kid would be Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash is the dreamer of the group, trying to live her dream and get into the Wonderbolts. RD would not risk her dream for some kid. Something Scootaloo may have to deal with one day.

 

Still it could work in a different way. What if Twilight started teaching magic to a young unicorn and that unicorn living with her. I feel like that would work well.

 

I also feel the Cake twins can still work for slice of life lessons. Showing Mr. and Mrs. Cake how hard it is to rase twins who can fly and use magic and still run a business. Just throwing that out.
