Well, my thinking there is that although I normally don't spruce myself up nice, I can look pretty good when I want to, y'know? :D

My grandma is kind of a genealogist, and she's researched that I'm part Irish. No wonder I'm so used to (and good at) singing in a very high pitch. I guess.

Heheh, high pitched Irishmen...I think I know what you meaneth, friend.  All joking aside, Ireland is amazing, and it, Scandinavia, and Scotland are the three highest places on my list of places to go when I get the opportunity.  They're all just so amazing! :D

Gallifreyan is the ancestry of the Time Lords. ;)

Ohh...I see what you did there. ;)  How's it like, knowing that the fate of all us normal ponies often rests in your hands?

PS Next time you see Doctor Whooves, say hi to him for me. :)

PPS Love the sig!

Uh... Cuban. 100% of that. Nothing too fancy there. Although they do say I'm made up of some vague Chinese somewhere in there, a bit of French due to my grandpa or someone like that being half French, whatever native tribes were on Cuba before it was settled by the Europeans, and Spanish.

Oh and yes, I can speak Spanish. Not fluently, but decent enough.

I'm pretty weird... I was born as a Filipino-Aussie-Hispanic-Russian-Japanese...

Filipino parents, my mother is half Spanish, so I'm like... Quarter?

I have some Russian blood from my grandfather's side...

And I have Japanese blood from my great grandmother from my mom's side... -.-

And my dad is pure filipino. ^^

Oh, sorry for wrecking your brain. I know this is confusing...

On my mom's side I'm mostly Irish. Her family moved over during the Potato Famine,  came westward with some of the first Mormons, and eventually somehow they ended up where they did. My dad's side is way more confusing, because they left their home country longer in the past and nobody on that side was nearly as obsessed with genealogy. As far as I know, they were Prussian before they moved elsewhere.

I'd answer in Spanish, but I'm better at speaking it than writing it. (Vaguely illiterate in other words. XD) So I'll just answer in English:

Yeah, it sure ain't common on the internet, that's for sure. There's a few in Florida though. They like to conglomerate in Miami. You go there, and it's like... basically new Cuba. Many speak Spanish.

Wow, that's certainly an interesting combination there!  Oh, don't worry about my brain--I can just sow it back together and when I wake up, it'll be perfectly fine. :) In fact, all this math is kinda fun...if your dad is purely Filipino, and your mom is half Spanish, you should be a quarter of the other three (Australian, Russian, and Japanese).  And if your mother had some Japanese blood from her grandmother, and some Russian blood from her father (I'm assuming that your somewhat Russian grandfather is on your mom's side, as otherwise your father couldn't be 100% Filipino) , that would probably make you slightly more Russian than Japanese.  Now that only leaves the Aussie, and so I'm going to say that you are, approximately:

50% Filipino, 25% Spanish, 12.3% Russian, 6.3% Japanese, and 6.3% Australian.

*silence fills the thread*  Yeah, I might have gotten a little carried away with the maths there, but hey, I really like mathing a good problem once in a while!

So, how close was I?

Whoa, whoa, whoa, back up this train!  "Came westward with some of the first Mormons?"  If I'm not mistaken, so did a lot of mine!  They came from Scotland and Denmark to Utah, and I'm actually named after one of those ancestors. :D I wonder if maybe some of your ancestors and mine knew each other...

And, Prussian ancestors, huh?  That's definitely a new one--or maybe ponies have just been saying "German" instead of using the technically correct term!

I'd answer in Spanish, but I'm better at speaking it than writing it. (Vaguely illiterate in other words. XD) So I'll just answer in English:

Yeah, I remember when I went down to Florida with my family a few years back (we were seeing the Everglades and Disney, mostly), and it was an interesting culture shock to see almost every sign printed in both Spanish and English.  My mom actually turned to me about once a day to ask, "Hey, did you understand what those Latino people were saying?"

Also, it must be nice to have a whole big "-topia" to yourself--now you can say that you're 100% Cuban, 100% Arylettopian, and therefore have double the ancestry! :D

And, no problem.  I call's 'em as I see's 'em. :yay:

Yeah, Scandinavia is right on the tippy-top of my list of bucket-list places to see someday.  It's got such an interesting culture, and it's just so beautiful!  I could sit and watch youtube videos of the fjords and mountain ranges for hours, especially if there's a Hardangar fiddle playing in the background...pure heaven. And I gotcha on the languages, dude--they just slip away from you if you're not using them regularly.  I see that you're learning HTML, though...I recently started learning it myself!

Well you seem to know a bit more about the culture than I do. :) Especially since I have never heard of a "Hardangar fiddle." But yeah the natural beauty of the mountain ranges in northern Sweden is something so sublime that I would give anything to see someday.

And yeah, the difficulty of learning foreign languages. Easy to forget, especially when I'm surrounded by so much English written and spoken aspects of culture  every single day, that just seem to relentlessly push any foreign phrases I'll learn deep into the abyss of my forgotten memories.

And HTML, yeah I'm just studying a bit of the basics so far. Though I may need to update that on my about me soon. Haven't really had the time to work on it due to school and life. And like with any language I've tried to learn, the computer language is now kinda fuzzy to me as well. :P

I descend primarily from the Comanche portion of Native Americans. I think there's some Irish or Scottish or something on mother's side somewhere.

Omigosh, I'm so sorry that I skipped over you! :( I don't know how that happened, but I'll be more careful from now on.

Anyways, I definitely didn't skip you because of your ancestry, 'cause it is, in a word, awesome.  I mean, Native American plus Scotts-Irish?  Awesome.

Nice heritage there, bro!  I'm sorry to hear that someponies have been letting their inner yuckiness go out and pollute the world.  Germany is a cool place, and doesn't deserve any of the flac that it gets, just because Hitler happened to be born to a German woman.  Like what I said in my huge, almost-a-quarter-of-a-page long rant earlier, people really should stop painting pictures all over one ethnicity or denomination just because of something that one subgroup within that group did.  Yeah, I don't actually have any idea what it's like, but I still feel for you--it's not fair to be named after such a man just because you're German.

But despite that, you still have an awesome heritage, and one to be proud of!  I'll bet they're just jealous 'cause you're a Irish-Polish Italian Viking, bro. :D

Oh, the only reason I know what a Hardangar fiddle is is because of my family's LoTR geekiness--we all love the Riders of Rohan theme, and especially love the instrument that plays it, so one time we looked up what played it, and it was a Hardangar fiddle!

Yeah, I totally get you on the languages--if you're not using them often, you'll just forget what you've learned.  Oh, well...that's why I want to travel the world someday!

Yay, I got it right!  Well, all except for the Australian part--I was wondering why you hadn't said where your Aussie came from, but it was because it didn't exactly come from anypony! :D It's awesome to have been born in Australia, though...that place has been fascinating to me ever since I watched Disney's The Rescuers Down Under.  Man, that was such a good movie!  I miss 90's Disney...at least they're starting to get their charm back.  Tangled and Toy Story 3 were just as good or maybe better than some of their 90's stuff.

Anyway, my enjoyment of math comes from when I spent several months studying for the math SAT only a summer or two ago.  I needed to boost it about 150 points to even have a chance at getting into the colleges that I was looking at, and so I had to study my plot off.  But, while studying hard, I discovered how to get look at the problem, figure out how to solve it in the quickest way possible, get inside the math problem, and tear it apart from the inside out.  It felt amazing to be able to rip through a whole section of those problems, and get even 80-85% of them right. :D You're probably shaking your head in confusion right now, thinking something along the lines of, "how in Equestria could anypony actually enjoy math problems, let alone SAT ones?"  I don't know, I think it's just 'cause I have the right brain for it. :yay:

And that picture gave me ze gigglies.

I do not have ancestry, I was cloned from Walt Disney's facial hair.

O_O owo  :o [insert a few more "shocked" emoticons here]

Whoa, are you the genius responsible for the newer Disney films that have been inexplicably good?  (Or are you the poor fool responsible for such tragedies as G-ForceInsector Gadget, or *excuse me while I gag for a second* Mars -gag- Needs Moms?)

Actually, I liked Inspector Gadget, but for the same reason that I liked the Super Mario Bros. movie--'cause it was so stupidly bad that it was actually quite enjoyable!

Are you asking about math or math classes?

Because there is no fun in math classes. They're too focused on the soul-crushingly boring aspect, proofs and formulas and blah-de-blah. They'll just hammer in the same dull drivel every day until all joy has departed from your very life. And on top of it all, they deliberately render the whole thing tedious and inefficient by forbidding calculators. At least in first grade, they'd illustrate with M&Ms.

As for math itself...I dunno, try programming or some other math-inclusive fun thing. I managed to hate math less once I started designing games in my free time. Just solving a problem is dull as ever but when solving the problems results in a kickass archery mini-game, that's much better.

Whoa, are you the genius responsible for the newer Disney films that have been inexplicably good?

Define "newer Disney films". (Also, fun fact: Comanche were battle-hungry territorial sons of bitches, so whenever I got in trouble for fighting in school, I'd just shrug and do rhat stereotypical war cry with my hand over my mouth. Which got me in more trouble. Worth it.)

Amen, brothasista!  Middle and high schools really ought to learn from elementary school's teaching styles--teenagers are more similar to elementary-aged kids than people think.

Whoa, that's a good idea!  I've thought about designing games in some of that free time that I pretend to have lying around, but I've never really done it, y'know?  I do have a nearly-finished Zelda game kicking around in my head right now, though. :)

I'm not too sure. I think I may be distantly English and Scottish. Both my parents are Aussies though, but the last names give us that idea.

Neat!  Actually, you'd think that your ancestry would come up more often, but I don't think it has before. :D

Hmm, I believe this is new...and I know that it's cool! :) Somehow, the idea of someone being French, Norwegian, and Irish seems really awesome to me.  I don't know...do you consider yourself one of those ponies who just exudes awesomesauce wherever they go? 'Cause that could potentially explain it!

Australian-American

If you trace back further my heritage is basically every single country in Western Europe, but mainly British (as in every part of the UK) and French. I'm pretty bland that way.

Hey, there's nothing bland about that!  I mean, Australia, the Land Down Under?  That place is, like, the opposite of bland if you ask me. :) Also, you do have a new combination--ah ain't nevuh seen Australian, The British Isles, and France all wrapped together, and I'd say it's pretty cool. :D

PS What kind of music do you do?  (I tried to check out the link, but the dumb school policy restrictions said no.)

Oh, they assume that you're French?  Is that due to having a distinctly French accent, or because your features strongly denote French blood, or some other reason?

Ah, orchestral music...I can understand why that could be quite demanding.  There's just so much stuff that goes into an orchestral piece, and you have to write every last bit of it yourself!  I actually tried once to write a piece about the complexities of the human mind, but once I got to about measure five and then stopped after I realized that I could only have five instrument parts on the software I was using. I stopped doing that and moved on to other things, but if my band director at school manages to convince the school board that band students should get music-writing software on our computers, I'm sure a huge chunk of my time will go into doing that! :yay:

Anyways, I'll be sure to check out your channel on my desktop sometime soon! :D

Well, I'm massively French (at least 95%), so the Irish part is minimal and the norwegian part may not even exist xD.  I just like to think I descend from them because I love scandinavia so much (though, it is possible).  I like to think I'm super awesomesauce, too xD
