movies/tv Most disturbing movie scene you've seen?

Is there any movie scene that you found disturbing and/or scarred you for life?

My most disturbing scene is from Raiders of the Lost Ark, a scene I like to call "The incredible melting Nazis!" If you don't know already, the Nazis bring the Ark to the island, open it and meet a gruesome fate. It may be disturbing, but it looks pretty silly aswell.

The scene was relevant, but not something to be posted on this forum. Things containing gore should be left to the reader to find.

The entire movie "You're Next" was completely disturbing. Just about every scene from that movie was a fluke. No wonder why it was the floppiest horror movie of the year.

If anyone has seen Black Hawk Down, the scene where they try and operate on the guy's leg wound to save him was horrible to watch, and extremely sad too!

Entire "The Machinist" movie, from 2004 I believe, not sure. With Christian Bale in main role.

I've watched this movie twice, on purpose the second time. And I still have no idea "what the hell?".

That movie is just so weird to me, that I just can't comprehend it... Not mentioning some of the disturbing scenes in it...

I watch the Cinema's Snobs reviews, so I could post things that I'm in no way allowed to link to on these forums...

I watched all the August Underground movies. They're designed to look like real snuff films so I can't post clips, they're too graphic. Basically they torture, beat, and hold people captive. they cut a women's nipple off and puked on her, etc. Read the plot for them if you want.

The August Underground movies are more of an endurance test than an actual film. Mordum is the grimmest one.

They still don't touch on my nomination. It's a certain scene from El Orfanato (spoilers).

Laura discovering the skeletons of the orphanage children she grew up with. I'd freak the hell out if I were her. Finding the remains of my childhood friends like that, and knowing exactly who killed them? The whole projection of the idea was really well done in that film, and it made me shift uncomfortably in my seat. :\

The movie scene that has disturbed me the most so far has to be from the Vietnam War flick, We Were Soldiers. It's the scene where Pfc. Jimmy Hakayama gets most of his body severely charred after being caught in a napalm explosion; his burns are so bad, that Joe Galloway accidentally tears the burned flesh off of Jimmy legs when trying to lift him into a stretcher. I dare not find a clip of the scene, 'cause truthfully, this was one of the rare occasions where I was so genuinely horrified by a scene of graphic war violence, that I honestly have no desire to watch it again.

>< TOMMY why can't I escape you.

The room is the best/worst movie ever made.

OT: Probably Human Centipede. I generally avoid movies that are just wrong for the sake of wrong but watched it and just WOW not even gonna consider watching the second one from what I've heard *shudders*

Anyone have seen Cocoon, that movie with aliens? Well, it's not supposed to be an horror movie, but I've seen the most terrifying scene in that one.

There's a bunch of people who rent a boat, to pick huge rocks at the bottom of the sea (cocoons). And the the girl just go in her room and remove her clothes... well, the captain look in a hole, trying to see her naked (obviously). But then, she starts to remove her skin, under this is a very bright body - an alien. Well, she just turn around, look at the direction of the captain, and approach very fast while doing weird sounds.

I fell off my chair, almost had an heart attack. It was freaking scary.

for me, it would be any scene in "Quarantine" or the scene in "The Thing" where it first bursts out from the sled dog and the tentacles wave in the air ready to grab hold of any poor soul that gets near it. "Quarantine" scared the fuck out of me, "The Thing" just disturbed me.

Have they made the second one yet? Anyway, I was watching it with two friends and we found it more hilarious than scary just out of how ridiculous it was. Barely watch movies in the first place, but that was pretty laughable.

The final killing in Cannibal Holocaust. He effects are so realistic you really think a man is being bludgeoned to death before having his liver torn out and eaten on screen. Also, if you're traumatized by such things, they actually kill live animals on screen.

I've seen a lot of screwed up things through the wondrous world of the Internet. But there is one thing that always seems to get at me on a personal level.

There's a scene in the Human Centipede 2... The description itself can be unsettling. Click if you dare.

The main character bashes the teeth in of one of his victims before sewing them ass to mouth. He uses a hammer on him while he is awake, as the teeth are bashed in, he gurgles and coughs up alot of blood and teeth. Just messing with someone's teeth is just extreme for me. Everything else, ass to mouth, and all the other crap doesn't really bother me, but the teeth scene does.

I make an effort to avoid distrubing films, I even stop bothering with news and newspapers because it seems all to easy these days for disturbing knowledge & imagery to get shoved into my skull. And my memory is really good in an arsehole sort of way where try as hard as I might my mind drags it back up just to disturb me.

Takes along time for me to forget things. A very long time.
