Pizza Party – it's been years since I last watched Foster's, but I still return to their song sometimes.  One of the catchiest cartoon songs I've heard, by a unique band. And especially Fluffer Nutter is cool on the backing vocals.

Not sure if one individual counts as a band, but Countess Coloratura was pretty awesome for the one glorious episode she got. The Spectacle was really good, and if it weren't so short, it would be my favorite song of MLP. Her style was great.
