Ooh, didn't realize there was a vote today- I figured it would have a day off like the real World Cup. Nonetheless...

 

My vote went to Princess Luna today. I think both her and Zecora are okay, but neither are characters that I hope win the whole tournament. Still, I think Princess Luna makes the next matchup against Fluttershy/Scootaloo more interesting than Zecora does, so that's why I went with her.

It's actually cool how Crimson Sterling did it... One match per day (instead of 2) and no breaks.... Check the OP for more info / schedule

Last match starts July 11th, but the Final match is 48 hours so it ends on the 13th

Well it's full time here, and what a way to start the Knockout Stages! Princess Luna has used her royal voice to blow past Zecora 112-24! Now she just has to wait to see who wins between Fluttershy and Scootaloo for her quarterfinal encounter... Will she have a 4th game between herself and Fluttershy, or will she face the magical filly for the 2nd time in MLPF history? In either case, what a way to start her hopeful march to World Cup glory! I must say though, Zecora has done brilliantly to become part of the 16 most loved characters in MLP, but it wasn't meant to be for her. Nevertheless, I must provide a sincere round of applause to Zecora for making it this far! May you and all Zecora lovers continue to rhyme on even as you go about your daily lives!

Welcome back to BSPN with another World Cup update today as Princess Luna stomps on Zecora to become the first character to reach the quarterfinals. Most would say there was no big surprise here, given the size of Princess Luna's following! Regardless, the road to the World Cup trophy will be a difficult one for her from this point on as she prepares for a quarterfinal encounter with either Fluttershy or Scootaloo! 

 

Now it is we moved on to our next Round of 16 match! The first Mane 6 character and CMC gets their chance to push forward for a deep run at the 2014 MLPF World Cup! The winner of Group B in Applejack will have to make duel against Rarity's sister Sweetie Belle, the runner up of Group A. Applejack's had a series of comparatively easy matches in the Group Stages, having bucked Queen Chrysalis, Zeora, and Mayor Mare with ease. On the other hand, Sweetie Belle has a dent on her campaign after losing her second game to Princess Luna 71-46. Nevertheless, she bounced back strong even after intense fire from Trixie fans and lovers alike in a thrilling 107-67 victory. Can Sweetie Belle replicate her success in the group stages against Applejack? Or will Applejack having another bucking season lined up for her to move on the quarterfinals?

 

Well enough with the questions! Applejack and Sweetie Belle are about ready to trot into the Mareicana for this ever exciting encounter!

I really wished I posted this earlier.

 

 

 

To video game-y sounding. And it uses instruments that most African tribes wouldn't have had access to. It also didn't have very strong vocals, and most "tribal" music from sub-sarhan africa is known for its chant/choir vocals. The vocals there sounded a lot more western then legit tribal music.

But it was ok for fan made pony stuff.
