I'm pretty sure i've never explained Amaya's family and background? But in short her family is very rich, and consist of her, her father, mother, brother, and grandfather. With a maids, and family butler and staff etc. Her relationships with each one? Well with her father  and grandfather its very good, but... You'll probably find out about the rest later. Amaya is pretty much babied by the staff and her father. I wonder if you'll figure out what company her parents are high-ups in. ~

I think I've gone over Rune's backstory, won a fencing tournament to get a dawn stone, wears it around his neck now. From Fallarbor town in Hoenn.

If we're all in the back story loop...

 

Dustin lives in a sort of village in the desert where a lot of ground pokemon live, things like Marowak and Krookodiles. He never enjoyed the heat of the desert and enjoyed going to other colder places like Snowpoint. Other than that, he live a fairly average life.

 

Zach grew up in a barbarian-like tribe that consisted of brawny beefheads and strong warriors. Zach was slowly became disgusted with the way his tribe acted and left to train under someone more useful to him. The two people he trained under were a Lucario gijinka and a Chesnaught gijinka. They taught him the ways of strategy and battle, and the Lucario taught him how to easily feel the aura of somebody. It would be impossible for him to actually see the aura though.

Back-story wise, Nik was a spoiled but smart brat from the suburbs. He did nothing but create trouble but for some reason, he never felt that he had enough glory. Things came to a halt when he nearly created a car accident by hacking a stop light, resulting in his parents punishing him for the first time. Nik was outraged and disowned his family, leaving home and heading out to live as a nomad. He lived out in the boonies for a long time, hunting pokemon and being a highway man. Not for money, for sport, Nik would stop gjinkas he found and challenge them to battle to feed his ego. However, there was a Sceptile gjinka who beat down Nik and made Nik reconsider his options. Using money gained from selling pokemon parts on the black market, Nik enrolled in the academy by using by paying a guy to act like he was his father.

Oh, we're doing backstories?   I love this game!  My turn!  

 

Lhee - Lhee's has been fairly apparent so far, more so for those who followed the first thread, but here goes.  He's from the Kanto region, grew up in Lavender Town though he's pretty sure he wasn't from there originally.  He doesn't remember where he was originally from, though.  His mother died when he was very little, and he was raised by a kind old man who normally took care of orphaned pokemon (20 points to whoever names him!).

 

As a Cubone Lhee cried a lot, and was accustomed to getting picked on.  Other children thought he was a freak, and when he would sneak out late at night to visit his mother's grave the ghost pokemon in the tower liked to tease him.  One day Lhee snapped and started fighting back - it worked well against the ghost pokemon, not so much against the other children.  He was expelled from from his old school for getting into fights so often, and in an effort to keep his education going he had to go to school in Saffron City until he was enrolled in the academy.  One thing did come from him learning to stand up for himself through violence though - he evolved.  Unfortunately this had the slight downside of fusing his mother's skull to his head, pretty much erasing any chance he had of ever fitting in.

 

 

Zoey - Compared to Lhee, Zoey's life has been absolutely terrific so far.  She's from Unova, and grew up in Castelia City.  Her family was well off, not exactly rich but far from poor.  She was an only child, and so her family had a tendency to spoil her growing up.  Rather than being singled out for being a Zorua gijinka, she actually ended up with a fair number of human friends who told her being part Zorua made her 'cute' rather than scary.

 

Since she never really had to deal with anyone making fun of her for being a gijinka, she grew somewhat accustomed to being the center of attention.  She'd often use her skills with illusions to play pranks on her friends, and generally has had a pretty good life so far.

 

 

Darius - Darius is from the Kalos region, where he often traveled from city to city conducting research.  He was smart from a young age, and grew up with the intent of being a Pokemon Professor.  As he grew older and became stronger and more confident as a gijinka, his field of study started to narrow somewhat.  Rather than studying pokemon in general he began to study and research individual pokemon moves.

 

He became especially interested in the sometimes odd ways a move could perform when executed by a gijinka rather than a pure pokemon, and his research gradually shifted from pokemon moves to gijinka's moves.  He gained a small amount of renown for his studies, and was eventually offered a teaching position at the academy.

And I think the whole pokemon cannibalism argument is more towards Suitaloo right now. I think of pokemon as a species, and then each pokemon is like a race or ethnicity in compariosn to humans.
