The opposite. He was born naturally skilled and strong and was rather spoiled as a kid. This attitude continued for a while until he decided to prank some people by changing up the order of a stop light. When his parents punished him for the first time, his ego couldn't handle it and he left home.

 

After that, he made a living being a highwayman and just living in the boonies with a small gang of other delinquents

He's slightly less of a douche to them. He thinks that the mind is one's greatest weapon and that deception and cunning are virtues. Therefore, he hates rock, fighting, and steel types but likes dark, poison, and ghost types.

 

Of course, this is only for first impressions. That aside, he can shift very quickly

Oh my looks like I missed quite an active scene!

 

EDIT: I started to type but i realized 

dusk never put amaya down  But I think its funny so im gonna roll with this LIke he forgot he was wearing an amaya and he went through the first doorway like nothing and she wasnt paying attention either and she got decked in the face Its hilarious come on

DAMN YOU SLEEP! It caused me to miss an awesome scene. I'll just assume Rune sat there stunned and unable to do anything, simply out of shock and the fact that he had to carry a person and probably 100 pounds of equipment on his back for at least 3 miles.
