yes i'm jumping the gun, but the season preme was flash back central. In castlemania he didn't name dropped in all those books.

 

I can't imagine he has anything to do about the magic box (Maybe) or else celestail would know about it.

I'm thinking their avoiding him because the show isn't about death, and the more they mention him, the more they basically have to say "he's dead" 

cause he's from a thousand years ago.

Starswirl the Bearded was mentioned before, he will be mentioned again somehow. He won't be popping up with no explanation this season, so there are some hints surrounding his life.
