I thought it was a pretty awesome movie when all is said and done, much better than I was expecting.  :)  I was expecting it to be a cliche romance comedy.  But it had a few interesting plot twists to keep my interest and the climax was quite a surprise.

LOVELOVELOVELOVE

I could rant about this movie.

It has surprise twists and comedy and lovely songs and emotion (sad, happy, anger, all of it I have experienced during the film) and wintery bliss out the wazoo.

I just went to see it and I want to see it again. Like, right now.

I also really appreciate how Elsa wasn't painted as the villain to the viewers. The entire time, I was 100% sympathetic and rooting for her.

What sister did you guys prefer? I don't even know which is my favorite. Both were delightful

I am not really an ambitioned watcher of Disney movies, especially in theater, but I have to admit that it was worth the watching.

I can't complain that I was bored at any time throughout the movie because there's always been a good measure of tension and humor.

The songs were good, even though I didn't like For the First Time in Forever all too much, Let it Go was all the better.

All in all I'd say it is a great movie. I couldn't say it is the best Disney movie in a while, since I didn't really keep track with those, but it sure was better than what I've had expected.

I expected it to be bloody awful (totallydidn'twanttoseeitsincethetrailersespeciallysincelsawaslikereallyhot), but it was simply fantastic. It wasn't really what I was expecting - the romantic aspect was a lot different than the normal Disney fare, as much as I loved Tangled. They're really improving with their style, now, and certainly doing better than Pixar as of late. (Brave was incredibly unmemorable, though I did really enjoy Monsters U).

ANYWAYS

It's really good, only gripe I would have was song pacing, but they were all catchy and well put together. It also had a more realistic theme than any of their other movies, LOL.

SPOILERS

I know some people were pissed about the whole Hans thing but it's Disney dammit there's crazy-ass archetypes. I mean, I felt that was made up for by the fact that it didn't end with Kristoff and Anna being "true loves" and him saving her, since that's what normally happens - it was nice that is was more about family > romance.

I totally agree with you there. I liked how it wasn't a prince and princess regular formula blah blah thingy. If that were the case, I'd not be liking the movie as much. But because of the twists, the movie became a whole lot more enjoyable. Along with the music and the animation, the movie becomes superb.

Most songs were in the start though. There was more song concentration in the start-mid of the movie rather than in the late parts. (Removing background music)

In other news, did anyone see the cameo of Flynn and Rapunzel from Tangled in the movie? :D

Oh my gosh

I saw that too! Tangled was pretty good too though, however, I think that Frozen is better.

I have the exact same thoughts! I didn't really like Tangled too much compared to Frozen or Wreck-it Ralph, but it was still pretty good nevertheless.

I absolutely loved it. The animation and character designs were so beautiful to look at and, being totally in love with film and especially animation, some sequences were done so perfectly I constantly felt tears in my eyes and I felt pretty breathless sometimes. The music and songs were incredible and I just got the soundtrack for Christmas. The sequence for Let It Go always fills me with so much emotion... Just wow. And Disney kinda flipped a lot of their own archetypes and common plot points around. Of course, that doesn't mean I'm looking down on their older works, I just think it was really clever and quite a refreshing change.

My initial reaction to Frozen:

"Hey Dad, is there any way I can forget I even saw this flick?"

"I'm afraid not"

"FUCK!"

Yeah, I pretty much hated it with a passion. If you liked it, all power to you. I should also mention that this is my OPINION. So don't spam me with hate messages.

my older sister was really looking forward to this movie. I thought it was only gonna be okay but when we both saw it, it was AMAZING. It was full of great humor like in Tangled and Wreck it Ralph. I expected to not like most of the characters but I ended up liking them. Also I'm not gonna spoil anything but there are some great twists in this movie.

I guess my favorite song from the movie would be Let it Go.

Everyone keeps saying that this movie is so good, I usually don't like animated movies but I have wanted to see this one now since I heard about it. I haven't really gotten the chance to do so though... I suppose I will get the movie in a totally legal way (oh so legal) sometime I guess.

While I really liked the story, I'm starting to think that I think too much about things made for children. The pacing was really off for me and it was really predictable, that being said, I enjoyed watching it and will definitely watch it again...(not sure if I've been Disney-brainwashed or not...hmmm...)

I will make you watch it >:3

The trailer of this thing caused me to write it off far to easily, but after some recommendations from people with far better taste in movies than I do (namely CITRUS KING and Evilshy) I was won over, and I am very happy I was.

This movie is one of the best Disney movies ever, and I like it to a kind of worrying degree. I genuinely have trouble thinking of anything about it that I didn't like . From the music, the story, the setting, the wonderful characters, everything drew me in from the beginning. The way they handled the idea of love was also very memorable, and really far better than any Disney movie that I can think of.

I also called Hans being evil and I feel more proud of myself for this than I really should :P

Ironically my profile is Anna from Frozen, yet I haven't seen it. xD But I'm still planning to watch it with my friends but I adore the characters from what I've seen so far.

I was waiting for this topic to pop up. Major spoilers ahead people.

I went to see the movie last week and I FELL IN LOVE! It has to be my favourite film right now. The characters, the music, the voices, the animation... Everything was really stunning. My sister, cousin and I are totally obsessed, and won't stop drawing the characters. I can't even choos a favourite: Elsa is beautiful both in and out; Anna is adorable; Olaf is hilarious; Kristoff and Sven are cute too.

What we loved about it was the fact that it's not your typical Disney "worthless princess screams and flails about and finds her prince" ... Well, something along those lines. Both the main female characters are independent and a joy to see. The movie receives a lot of praise for the fact that in the end, the act of true love was not that of a true love's kiss, but the love between the sisters. But I tell ya, that act of true love could have been me purely loving this film to pieces.

Third and final and best thing about the movie was the many Easter eggs that Disney likes to pop in here and there, and the amazing link between Tangled (2010) and Frozen. We noticed that Rapunzel and Eugene were in fact among the crowd during Elsa's coronation:

See, right there in the left bottom corner.

Turns out, Anna and Elsa's mother (former queen of Arandelle) was sisters with Rapunzel's mother (queen of Corona), this Anna and Elsa are Rapunzel's cousin! How awesome is that?!

We also loved the sweets from the land of Sugar Crush:

So does Anna, apparently.

Plus, I absolutely ADORE the song performed by Idina Menzel, Let It Go. It's an amazing sequence, Idina has a fabulous voice that gives me chills. I can't stop listening it.

  • 3 weeks later...

I loved the film. Probably the best I've seen in 2013. Disney Animation Studios have been on a roll in the last few years with Tangled, Wreck it Ralph and now Frozen. The twist was great. Loved the gasps in the cinemas when it occurred. Songs were amazing. The best Disney film since the renaissance era. A friend of mine loved it so much she watched it 10 times in cinemas (and counting).

  • 5 months later...

So I finally got around to watching this movie. I've told myself from time to time over the past several months that I'd watch it, but I never got around to it. I finally did today.

I suspected that I would like it, and I was right. I loved it. It was a truly amazing movie.

I mean, it has the same kind of spirit behind it that's behind MLP:FiM, which is one of the main reasons why I love the latter so much. Some of the reasons why I love Frozen are very similar to why I love My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and that's saying a lot.

The art was beautiful, the story was compelling, the music was excellent, the characters were lovable. Every single thing I love about a movie was done excellently in this production.

I want to rewatch it already, and I just finished watching it less than an hour ago. xD

I first watched it a few days ago.

The story was very refreshing and the characters were great (my favorites being Olaf and Elsa). Plenty of funny moments in the movie with Olaf, I guess I like the fact that he's quirky. Elsa's "Let it Go" song was great, and I liked seeing her show off her powers, even if she had trouble controlling them.

Overall, I thought it was a great movie.

Frozen was my favorite movie of 2014.  The best aspect about the movie to me is the sisterly-bond between Anna and Elsa.  I was pleastently surprised how it was their love that was presented as "true love" for the movie, and it felt real.  Both characters has found their way into my top ten Disney princesses list right behind Rapunzel from Tangled.  I also liked the Olaf, who is a perfect example of a comic-relief character done right.  Kristoff and Hanz were good too, but Hanz was a weak villain.  The twist caught me by suprise, but that just made him become a very generic villain who always reveals their true intentions and plans before the person they're revealing them too dies.  But that's just a minor complaint for me.  Everything else in the movie was great.  I just wish people knew we had three other great Disney Animated movies recently too: The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, and Wreck-it Ralph.
