Cheyleew 11 December 30, 2013 Share December 30, 2013 Do you have any embarrasing moments? I have one, i was chillin on deviant art (kitsunefireball) and my brother (my parent technically) asked me what a brony was, i froze and said "uh...a fan of a show?" luckily he bought it and i didnt have to explain any further, thank god because he would think we all did bad crap, you know what im talking about

Flight 11 89 December 30, 2013 Share December 30, 2013 I was playing that one mobile MLP game when my mom walked in. Of course, she walks in from the direction the screen is facing. So basically she saw me playing MLP. Yeah.
Jamesblorg39welsh 125 December 30, 2013 Share December 30, 2013 "my brother (my parent technically" what? Tasuni 48 December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 I've been a closet brony for over a year now and the most akward part was when my mom almost figured out (this morning). If you are wondering i'm thinking of telling to my parents I like MLP farely soon *will try to edit post when I do*
ShadowFoxz 342 December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 today my dad got a screen protector for my phone so i gave him my phone and after he was done he turned on my phone and saw my applejack wallpaper but asked if it was from Zelda and i said yes it was and it was a special rendition of zelda from Twilight princess. Here is a pic of the background he saw
SS Patches 138 December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 the most weirdest way that my cousin and sister found out i was a fan of mlp was when i accidently said that i play the My Little Pony town building game of course both of them have no idea what a brony is or what they are (i come from a very old australian family [aka men have to be masculine or they are gay and women have to be feminine or they can be manly if they want] that don't really keep up with current times.) so yeah they both think i'm gay. SanityNotIncluded 335 December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 Oh boy... I've had a few: -Several times where people almost saw my Luna wallpaper (leading to me changing it - not worth the hassle) -One time where my parents nearly saw me watching a video about Celestia/Discord shipping by ilovekimpossiblealot (it could've been worse... it could've been a thread simulator... or certain reaction videos) -Sitting on the lounge couch watching Flight to the Finish. Parents decide to come around the back and nearly catch me watching the 'Hearts as Strong as Horses' song -Just now, listening to some Brony music with my headphones on. Thankfully, I was on my desktop, but my computer froze, meaning that I couldn't mute it when people came in. It didn't actually reference pony stuff though and sounded a bit like Missy Higgins, so all was clear. Lesson learnt: Keep a porn tab open while doing anything MLP related. Its far easier to explain.

Cyanticket 44 December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 Well my sister asked if i liked MLP so i said yeah. The next day she walks over to my dad and says, "Guess what?! Griffin likes My little Pony!" Well shit. My mom doesn't care because my stepbrother is a brony too. I think my dad is cool too, not really sure. lomk 20,663 December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 Most awkward moment was also scary for me since it was when my mom found out about it. Yeah, she wasn't too happy about it. Like, I thought I was going to be disowned. I became a fan when I was 20 years old so she couldn't do shit about it anyway, but it was still an awful situation for me since she isn't willing to believe that MLP is enjoyable for college students too. Where I grew up, minds tend to be closed. I wish my folks didn't care, like what I see a lot of times, but I simply don't have that luxury... Megas 27,069 December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 My brother walking in on me watching the show was probably the worst it got for me, that or my mom holding up my Vinyl Scratch shirt in front of everyone at the mall. Thankfully no one noticed somehow
Oblivion 20,265 December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 (edited) I actually keep it a farily close secret, I kinda thought I would tell my brother but said the heck with it, unless someone asks, no reason to tell! Shadling 348 December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 My sister somehow catched me while I was lurking on this forum, now she's a part of the secret, and can now blackmail me... While I tried to explain what is brony fandom, I doupt that she clairly understood what it was fully meaning of this madness. But something is wrong, I'm refferencing MLP almost everytime, it's very odd that nobody found out more already...
Gone Airbourne 21,969 December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 It would have to be for me when my parents found out... they were pretty mean about it and made me feel like shit for liking the show so yeah...
Oofer56 58 January 1, 2014 Share January 1, 2014 The most embarrassing moment for anyone would probably be explaining that they are a brony to a friend of family member xD Happens to me all the time, but I try to weave out of the conversation. Administrator Sir Hugsalot 8,621 January 1, 2014 Administrator Share January 1, 2014 During New Year party my friend accidentaly entered my gmail. It was full of messages from MLP forums. That was VERY close call, luckily I managed to "accidentaly" press alt+f4 so my bronyism is still safe xD
Wingnut 6,733 January 2, 2014 Share January 2, 2014 (edited) I have a friend who occasionally crashes at my place for a week at a time. Well, one day he came into my room to ask me some questions about meeting up later. He saw my Fluttershy plushie on my desk and he asked if I was one of those "pony fans". I said yes and I also explained that the current cartoon is family oriented and can be enjoyed regardless of age or gender. He was like "OK!" with that and he never said a word about it since. He's actually 54 years old and he has long known about my love of cartoons. Thus it wasn't a huge shock or awkward moment for me. His favorite cartoons are Hanna Barbera programs from the 1960s. today my dad got a screen protector for my phone so i gave him my phone and after he was done he turned on my phone and saw my applejack wallpaper but asked if it was from Zelda and i said yes it was and it was a special rendition of zelda from Twilight princess. The beauty of that picture is that her hooves aren't shown and thus, at a glance, those unfamiliar with MLP wouldn't always identify AJ as a pony here. clockwork24 103 January 2, 2014 Share January 2, 2014 For me, the most awkward thing about being a closet brony is when to tell your friends. Like, you think that they might become interested in the show, or they might shun you, and in reality, they are facing the same challenge trying to talk to you about their brony-ness. True story! Scootalove 10,684 January 2, 2014 Share January 2, 2014 My mom came into my room while I was watching Power Ponies, and she looked at me very disgusted. I told her that I watch colorful ponies in this TV show, then she just walked out of my room and didn't say anything else.
Frosty Flurry 173 January 2, 2014 Share January 2, 2014 when i was talking to a friend who didn't know iwas a brony but he was and there were other people around who would take the piss so we had to whisper and draw pics and use abbreveations like mlp, aj, ts, rd and fs. Very awkward since he was a macho guy (he wanted to mantain macho status)

Anywho, my most embarrassing moment was when I found out my mum (who knew I was a brony) was telling all her family and friends about it asking for help. Apparently she said I must have issues.
