Disney or Anime? *Poll*

I love anime, but most of it today sucks butt because it relies on sex appeal WAY too much and lacks originality.. >-<

I like Disney as well. :3

 

I agree. Anime relies on sex appeal A LOT, but most disney movies are about a princess

being saved by a prince, which is kind of implying that females are not strong or independent.

So I dunno, I guess I'd have to say neither. I think I'll just stick to cartoons

I like both, though there are some anime, and some Disney that I don't like.  If I had to choose only 1 or the other I'd choose anime since there are a huge amount of anime that have been produced up to today, compared to Disney.   I do like some anime that I've seen and there's bound to be more that I like out of all the stuff I've not seen.

Fullmetal Alchemist, FLCL, Elfen Lied, and the list goes on. I would much rather watch Anime than disney stuff. But I have a soft spot for old classic Disney movies I must say such as Bambi and The Lion King.

Why must you make me pick between two of my favorite things?

 

Both of these things were my childhood. I can't pick either one. They're both just too amazing.

 

I mean, how can I choose when both sides have decent films/shows?

 

Disney has stuff like Aladdin, The Lion King, Alice in Wonderland, and other movies I adored a kid, and I still do to this day. Then Disney has newer stuff like Frozen, which is hard to compete with.

 

Anime has good stuff too. I remember watching Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Naruto all the time when I was younger. Newer animes like Attack on Titan, and Sword Art Online are also hard to compete with.

Disney, no contest. I grew up with The Lion King and Lilo and Stitch, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, etcetera...

 

I've never been areal fanof anime. The only one I watched in it's entirety is the original Yu-GiOh series.... and some Inuyasha.

Anime, simply because there's more variety. So many art styles, genres and stories; I can't pick Disney over anime in good conscience.

 

You know what might have been a nice poll? Disney or Studio Ghibli. I'd be a little surprised if no one made that yet

Sorry, I can't control my Frozen fangirl inside sometimes... But I just get more enjoyment out of Disney movies. The visuals are often wonderful, not just in Frozen but in other movies of theirs as well. Disney is just... So classic! Totally didn't steal that from MKTO.

Also, a lot of the newer animes around focus too much on sexual humour... >.>

But yeah, I agree with you there. Although, in the time that a lot of their movies were made, I guess that was kinda how they thought. Like, Snow White was made back in 1937, and people back then did think that women had to have a man to be happy, or not be in an apple-induced coma, anyways.

I hate having to choose between the two because I believe that both are always having their ups and downs.

 

Disney is great with animated characters and fantasy places but anime is always a nice change of pace with animated humans with face-faults and realistic-looking places.
