technology In desperate need of tech support...

Well this escalated quickly XD

I think what Mist is trying to say is that Essy*, your comments are extremely degrading to people who have every right not to be interested in learning about computers. Especially in a day and age where it's not even necessary to learn about how they work because people are paid to do that for you :P As human beings, it's natural and validated to feel offended and humiliated when you ask for help and the person helping you throws it in your face that you're an idiot because you didn't do something that was an obvious first option to you. Some people just aren't interested in learning about computers, software, and all that techno mumbo jumbo. Some people don't have the time! And others might not even understand it because they have a learning disability. Long story short, you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar X3

However, I DO understand where Essy* is coming from. When I was in College, it was so I could get my degree in Office Administration. Know what that meant? Being in a class of 25+ other adults, 22 of which who didn't even know how to effectively change your font on Microsoft Word :P Let alone how to use macros or even utilize ctrl+v etc. We literally started from the beginning: learning how to type on a keyboard. It was the equivalent of returning to Kindergarten to re-learn the alphabet. IT WAS HELL! XD It was me and one other student who actually knew what they Hell they were doing (no joke!!!). The only class I had that was challenging was Business. I learned things about the world of business I hadn't known before O: it was fun

Ahem. Yeah, uh, so... UPDATE! :D

Ubuntu would not work on my computer. Well, not even that, really. It wouldn't even DOWNLOAD D: Ugh.

However, Mist, to answer your question? I have a Sony Vaio (in blue ;D) that I purchased back somewhere around 2010. O:

On the bottom there is probably a sticker with the model number. Could you fetch that for me?

Something I found that helps me is I press Window and the R key to bring up the "Run" prompt. Then type in: services.msc you then scroll down to find "Wacom" and right click it and click "restart" that usually fixes it for me.

Oh man, that's so cool! Sorry it took me so long to respond, though, I had my parents surprise me with a visit. I will definitely give this a shot now! :D my father also helped me get rid of unnecessary programs and closed things running in the background. I apparently had 45 programs running in the background @____@ no idea how but oh well xD I'll let you know once I try it c:

Try updating your drawing tablet driver (guessing you need one anyway), and try clearing your system cache %temp% (punch that up in the start menu or run)
