Two Things I'm Still Geeking Out Over

The first thing I can't get over is this image, a screenshot taken from the episode "Pinkie Apple Pie."

 

If you look closely at the top right corner of the screen, you can see a white pony with no face, wearing a black suit and a tie, peering creepily through the bushes at the other ponies.

I'm not going to lie...  I LOVE seeing creepypasta references, especially in other fandoms.  (I am a huge creepypasta fan.)  However, I'm slightly concerned.

 

How did this guy manage to get into Equestria.  Did Hasbro allow the creators of MLP to insert a pasta monster, or did one of the animators just sneak that into there and wonder if it would get noticed?

 

Discussion:  How do you think Slenderman (or... Slenderpony/Slendermane?) fits into Equestrian lore?  Might he become an actual villain in later episodes of the show?

 

 

 

 

 

Second...  Oh, I am super excited for the upcoming episode "Pinkie Pride."  I really can't wait!  >3<

Yes, it's true.  One of the funniest musicians of all time -- Weird Al Yankovic -- will be guest-starring in an upcoming episode, entitled "Pinkie Pride," as a pony version of himself named Cheese Sandwich.

 

Now, Cheese Sandwich is adorable.  He's got that wild, curly manestyle, somewhat like Pinkie's, but uniquely styled after the hair of the artist himself.  His cutie mark is an accordion, which is awesome.  The best thing about him, though, is that he's not only inspired by Weird Al... he's actually being voiced by him!  I love hearing one of my heroes' voice coming out of a pony!  o3o

 

Of course, I understand that his role in this episode is supposed to be a somewhat antagonistic one, but I still can't wait to "meet" him, and I have a feeling he's going to end up becoming one of my favourite characters.  There has been rumor that Cheese Sandwich may not be a one-shot character, too, and I'm really hoping that's the case.

Yeah, I was able to spot Slenderman in the background when I caught him at just the right time. As for Cheese Sandwich, I think Weird Al will be as entertaining and over the top like we all know he can be.

Slendy was cool, some nice little creepy factor to let your imagination run wild(of course I've always been a fan of subtly creepy and horrifying easter eggs like that)

 

As for Al. I've never gotten a chance to listen to much of his music but he seems like a cool/funny guy and this episode should be interesting. It was a long time coming considering he expressed interest in being on the show as far back as when Season 2 went into production. 

 

...and dear God I want to pop the popcorn and watch how bad his anti-brony fans freak.

Also, I can't wait to see Weird Al (Cheese Sandwich) on the show. I've always been a big fan of his, and to see him in my favorite show is a dream come true.

I still don't see anything in that picture so I don't know what people are talking about. I don't know but I think this whole thing might be My Little Pony's lowest point since the Derpy debacle. It needs to stop pretending to be something it isn't, right?

You're kidding me, right?  You can't look in that spot and see the suit?  the blank white face?  You don't believe that some animator may have snuck him in as a tip-of-the-hat to the creepypony fandom?  I do.  I don't see how this could be considered a "low point," unless you're looking at it from a "this isn't something children should see" perspective, in which case, I can assure you that most children will have totally missed it and/or wouldn't get the reference anyway.  My children are creepypasta fans, of course, but only because they've observed me reading Pasta Monsters and looking at MLP crossover fanart that portrays all the monsters as goofy characters that they don't need to fear.

Personally, I'm loving the brony-love that's going on here.

The Slenderpony thing was more of a, 'HAH, I didn't even see that. That's really interesting that they actually put something like that in there'. But that was it. Cheese Sandwhich however, I am very excited about. Granted, it's not like I'm the biggest Al fan in the world, however, his pony specifically, looks and acts just like Pinkie's R63 form, Bubble Berry. Same personality and mane style and everything. The fact that there's a pony like Berry in the show now, makes me very giddy indeed.
