Silverhoof 2,844 March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 In the show ponies seem to go nuts over apples. fresh cider gets lines a mile long. Zap apple jam sells like crazy too. and apple products are everywhere. No one I know is that crazy over apples. BUT the ponies are. Why? I know its just a toon, but I feel the need for wild, unfounded speculation. Spark 101 March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 You know now that I think about it, ponies do seem to obsess over apples. It could be because the they're horses. Think about it. Horses LOVE apples. So I'm sure this has to do with it. If not, here's the explanation. 3 don't click this link...
Starshine 16,334 March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 They loved Sweet Apple Acres' products because they simply tasted good, not because they're a deranged psychotic species who craved for apples day and night? My biggest guess was because it's a part of their tradition. You know how Apple family founded the Ponyville, so there's a fair chance that they regarded the apple products as a must-have snacks

Jadefire 2,797 March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 Real life horses tend to like apples, right? In either case, I don't think the apples are remarkably addicting on their own. I think the Apple Family just fertilize their trees with cocaine. Ponysona bio, here.

Drakkon 362 March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 I don't know about unprocessed apples, but the cider seems an awful lot like beer to me. If that is, indeed, the case, I am now going to invade the fourth wall, enter my computer screen, and forcefully bump myself in line to get one of those ciders. A cider-beer? Oh buck yeah, I have to try this one.

I think the Apple Family just fertilize their trees with cocaine. I was just going to say that. Horses in real life do like apples. They also like sugar. That would explain Pinkie's sweet tooth! 1 Thank you Sparklefan1234!!!
