Should cloppers be segregated from bronies?

Okay- I'm not asking that cloppers leave the herd and I'm not pointing any fingers here.

 

All I'm trying to ask is should  cloppers and bronies be seperate fandoms and/or definitions?.

 

There is a lot of confusion with non-bronies, some people think all bronies are cloppers....

 

Does anypony see my point? 

I dont want to admit that I'm a brony to someone and invite them into the herd and have them think (in their opinion) I'm some kind of wierdo that clops to animated ponies.....

Edit: Look Everypony, This is not my mutual opinion to every brony out there, I myself view everyone as equal. All  I'm trying to say is that jerking off to cartoon ponies should be kept private, and in closed conversation. I dont like the fact that theres a growing rumor going around that all bronies are people who clop

I think I understand what you're saying: bronies should not be insulted by the stereotype of us all being cloppers. In which case, that is a fair argument but there are still bronies who are cloppers. The first issue that came around was the idea of a "brony" in the first place but now clopping came a long with it...eh, let society think what they must. 

I find it funny though when I watched one of those conference thingys at a Bronycon where they interview the voice actors...*derp* I'm still waking up haha Anyways, they voice actors directly insulted those who were cloppers and basically assumed most of the brony fandom to be such. It was saddening but...they just pull the classic stereotypes. 

In regard to your question, I doubt anything can be segregated in an analytic state when there are already so many stereotypes anyways, but I see your argument

I think those in the herd understand there is a distinction. That being said one can do both enjoy the program genuinely and gets their rocks off to rule 34 no judgments lol. Just because I don't find it sexually appealing to each their own. Um...just because a person is a clopper doesn't mean that they're some sort of freak. We're just as much as Bronies as everyone else in the fandom, and clopping and R34 takes a backseat to being part of the actual fandom to most of us.

 

There's no need for any segregation of this sort We're usually Bronies first, then cloppers second.

 

Also, doing this wouldn't fix anything; they'll find something else to be dicks to us about.

You know what's funny is I'd bet there's a lot of folks who don't even like the show and still clop hahaha It does hurt the brony name but to pin everyone down as a clopper is unfair...but that's society for you and it won't change. Your point is that when you tell someone you're a brony you don't want them to think of you of as a clopper? Hunny, I'm sorry, but no matter what you do, that stereotype is always going to be there and someones always going to go by it.

 

Why ever should they be seperated? A whole fandom just for the r34 things is simply stupid. There is r34 things and people that can get sexually excited to contents of the show in every fandom, but because My Little Ponies fandom is big doesn't mean we should get privilege of having two seperate fandoms.

 

The point of 'Love and Tolerate' is to love, care for and accept all. If we do that, that's not whats happening. Those are our ethics, what the fandom grows off, we can't simply throw that away because of something that is everywhere.

 

Definition of 'Brony' is a person who enjoys the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Enough so to be in the fandom, no matter what age what gender they may be, a play of words combining 'Bro' and 'Pony'. Definition of 'Clopper' is a brony who gets aroused by ponies and because of it takes action. There can't be separate definitions if a clopper is just another type of brony.

Aren't you the one discriminating here?  Your saying that cloppers should be a separate part of the fandom because you think their weird?  That is absolutely stupid. Sexual attraction is a complicated thing and you will find people who get sexually excited over most things such as anime, furries, MLP or anything else for that matter.  At the end of the day this is a fictional show and sites like R34 exist for people who find it attractive, if you don't like it you don't have to look at it. The way I see it is, if it's not illegal or harming anyone then what does it matter what people get off too, not sure if your an adult but I am and I think a persons sexual preference is their own private choice. 

 

On a side note, also why do you care what other people think about you being a brony? you don't need to go shouting out the fact that your one and if people want to assume things then just laugh at them for their discrimination, but to be honest you are also discriminating.

What you are saying makes no sense whatsoever on one hand you are saying you don't want cloppers to leave the herd and yet on the other hand you are saying that cloppers and bronies should be their own fandoms entirely which would require cloppers to actually leave the herd. The only actual difference between cloppers and other bronies is what they decide to do in private for most cloppers including me the pornographic side of the fandom which is in pretty much every fandom (see rule 34) is merely a bonus and not the main reason we are actually into the show.

 

I know there is a lot of pony porn and I know there is going to be some idiots who automatically think that brony=clopper but some people are going to think whatever the hell they want to think regardless of the evidence and I honestly don't see why we should give a damn what they think. If someone wants to automatically think I jerk off to ponies than even if I didn't I still wouldn't care, Pokemon literally has even more porn of it than MLP does and yet nobody automatically thinks Pokemon fan=jerks off to the characters or to the Pokemon themselves, since it is viewed as strange for teenagers and adults especially men to watch cartoon ponies than people assume the worst.

Although I definitely don't define myself as a clopper, as an adolescent I was all into the hypersexualization of shows such as Sailor Moon, and I remember my mother, investigating the fandom and finding that aspect of it, which resulted in my face turning into about a bazillion shades of crimson.

I think that we live in a culture that restrict us not only what is appropriate socially (i.e. ponies are not for adults) and but also sexually, and I think what ends up happening is that our desire ends up spreading over our fantasy worlds since reality readily tells us non-normative sexuality  is wrong. I am not saying I advocate bestiality (because honestly, I seriously doubt that poor beast is consenting to your human rape-iness), but what I am saying is I see clop-fic and art as an extension of people trying to express what they are not allowed to in the restrictiveness of reality.

 

And I'm okay with that (except when it comes to rape and incest, come on people, really?)

 

p.s. I suppose I should add that I do not think cloppers are i.r.l interested in bestiality, I was just trying to center my own opinion on the subject. Apologies if that offended anyone! I love you guys!

Yes I can understand that, but all I am saying is that your argument dosen't make sense because they "I don't want them to leave" directly contradicts your opinion that cloppers and bronies should be their own seperate fandoms. So, why suggest putting them into a seperate fandom? Even if we did that, the half that's considered not the cloppers will still be stereotyped and discriminated. Heheh they definitely don't but neither would the producers for other cartoons I suppose. It's just a big deal all of a sudden when it has to do with a show that has already had an impacting fanbase when it was intended for a more innocent touch...though, the only thing I don't understand is why they care...I don't recall any r34 things coming up in the show or even at the discussions in Bronycons...If they didn't like it so much, why judge those who don't deserve it?
