Twilight Mist 54 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 Or should they just keep using flash animation?
Scootalove 10,689 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 They should keep it the way it was in the first movie with their regular animation, if it's not broken don't fix it. 4 Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Moonlight 7,287 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 They should keep with the standard animation they have chosen for the first one. Animated movies don't tend to transfer over to live action all too well. 3 matching setups with my bff pathfinder
Blue Moon 6,341 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 (edited) I don't really want to see a CGI Equestria GIrls; I think it would probably look a little weird. But who knows; I could be wrong. As for live-action; eh, I don't think so. I don't really want to see a live-action Equestria Girls. Besides, if it were live-action, they probably have to pick actual skin colors for the characters, which is something they avoided using animation. I think it should stay the way it is; I like MLP/EG's animation style. The Mane-iac 1,648 February 11, 2014 Share February 11, 2014 Keep it the way it is. I personally am getting sick of everything being CGI, and live action only works for some things IMO. 1 WTB: Luna, Trixie dog tags & AJ blind bag | This fandom needs more Mane-iac! | AJ, Rarity, and Trixie trot into a bar. ~Silver Essence~ 2,625 February 12, 2014 Share February 12, 2014 Flash animation please. CGI has not only been done to death, but it will feel very akward to see it transition to something that was okay to begin with.
Orablanco Account 3,707 February 12, 2014 Share February 12, 2014 Well, if we absolutely must have a sequel, keep the flash animation. CGI sounds like a bad idea. Live action, even worst. 1 Onwards to my DeviantArt page! Sig by the illustrious Kyoshi!
chaoticgeek2 71 February 12, 2014 Share February 12, 2014 Keep flash The cartoon to live action thing is pretty generic and usually comes out bad, and the CGI would look weird. I would really hate if they did that.
Megas 27,727 February 12, 2014 Share February 12, 2014 Existing 2D to CGI tend to make the characters look a lot worse 90% of the time and live-action is no better. Especially considering that that live-action commercial was probably one of the most painful 30-whatever seconds I've ever experienced
-Nobody- 519 February 12, 2014 Share February 12, 2014 It needs to stay flash. CGI would make it look creepy and live action is just no. I'm just nobody at all...
Mandizeen 21 February 12, 2014 Share February 12, 2014 I think that Flash animation is mlp's style, so I think they should keep it that way.
Pinkie Cry 5 February 22, 2014 Share February 22, 2014 Flash animation it's ok. But live action would make it even worse. :/
The Coffee Pony 1,390 February 22, 2014 Share February 22, 2014 (edited) I think they should just stick with Flash Animation. Live action wouldn't work for it and I don't think CGI Animation would suit the show. Edited February 22, 2014 by TheCoffeeMan
spezzzzzhdafuigb 49 February 22, 2014 Share February 22, 2014 CGI would look downright creepy, and just the thought of live action is cringeworthy. Dear god how much makeup would they have to wear to be blue and shit. Oh god they would look terrible in all that makeup. I really hope that they don't make it either of those. Equestria girls got enough hate as it was, so I don't think Hasbro can take big risks with it. The Rainbow Rocks trailer was already shown in The traditional Flash version, but just the thought of CGI Equestria Girls makes me shudder! Andaasonsan 3,205 February 22, 2014 Share February 22, 2014 The main problem with live action is that you'd have to recast all the characters. Or I guess you could try to pass the VAs off as high school girls. And you'd need an extra Libman and an extra Ball. CGI looks good if you're willing to dump Pixar levels of resources into it. Less than that, ehh. Application REJECTED!
Rainboom Dash 1,056 February 23, 2014 Share February 23, 2014 Keep Flash. I really have difficulty imaging Equestria Girls in CGI or live-action.

Totally Ducklett 181 February 23, 2014 Share February 23, 2014 (edited) Like EVERYPONY else on this thread says, flash is perfect for MLP stuffs and, of course, CGI or Live-Action would be creepy. Now here, have Matt Smith. <3 Edited February 23, 2014 by Ducksquack Quack. Totally a Ducklett.
ReverseFaller 2,483 February 23, 2014 Share February 23, 2014 They should just keep it the way it is now. Live action would probably involve little girls (like that live action video Hasbro made), and CGI would just look creepy. TwilightDreamer 69 February 23, 2014 Share February 23, 2014 I'm indifferent on how the next one would be in. The CGI would make a nice 3-d change, the live-action will be limited but it could be plausible or the movie should stick to the classic flash animation like always. Until then, I'm not making an opinion until the official product is out.
Sugar Cube 4,843 February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 (edited) CGI is really overdone these days and I've never been a big fan of how it looked for most movies. I have a hard time imagining the girls looking very good in 3D so I would prefer the Equestria Girls movies to stay Flash animation style. It better resembles the show that way and I just don't think CGI can capture the same charm of the cartoonier Flash style, and that goes double for live action which I absolutely do not want to see. Lunas Sorrow 21 February 26, 2014 Share February 26, 2014 the animation now is fine, it mixes a good balance of cuteness and awesomeness which is rare for cartoons now a days
Khaoios 1,970 March 8, 2014 Share March 8, 2014 "Do you think the next equestria girls movie should be CGI or maybe live action?" Yup, my answer is right above, lol. TBH, Equestria girls as either a CGI or Live-Action would not really go. Not to mention, in live-action, how would the actors match the voices you here from the show? Most likely, none.
