Do you think the next equestria girls movie should be CGI or maybe live action?

They should keep with the standard animation they have chosen for the first one. Animated movies don't tend to transfer over to live action all too well.

I don't really want to see a CGI Equestria GIrls; I think it would probably look a little weird. But who knows; I could be wrong.

As for live-action; eh, I don't think so. I don't really want to see a live-action Equestria Girls. Besides, if it were live-action, they probably have to pick actual skin colors for the characters, which is something they avoided using animation.

I think it should stay the way it is; I like MLP/EG's animation style.

Keep it the way it is. I personally am getting sick of everything being CGI, and live action only works for some things IMO.

Existing 2D to CGI tend to make the characters look a lot worse 90% of the time and live-action is no better.

Especially considering that that live-action commercial was probably one of the most painful 30-whatever seconds I've ever experienced

CGI would look downright creepy, and just the thought of live action is cringeworthy. Dear god how much makeup would they have to wear to be blue and shit. Oh god they would look terrible in all that makeup. I really hope that they don't make it either of those. Equestria girls got enough hate as it was, so I don't think Hasbro can take big risks with it. The Rainbow Rocks trailer was already shown in The traditional Flash version, but just the thought of CGI Equestria Girls makes me shudder!

The main problem with live action is that you'd have to recast all the characters. Or I guess you could try to pass the VAs off as high school girls. And you'd need an extra Libman and an extra Ball.

CGI looks good if you're willing to dump Pixar levels of resources into it. Less than that, ehh.

I'm indifferent on how the next one would be in.

The CGI would make a nice 3-d change, the live-action will be limited but it could be plausible or the movie should stick to the classic flash animation like always.

Until then, I'm not making an opinion until the official product is out.

CGI is really overdone these days and I've never been a big fan of how it looked for most movies. I have a hard time imagining the girls looking very good in 3D so I would prefer the Equestria Girls movies to stay Flash animation style. It better resembles the show that way and I just don't think CGI can capture the same charm of the cartoonier Flash style, and that goes double for live action which I absolutely do not want to see.

Yup, my answer is right above, lol.   TBH, Equestria girls as either a CGI or Live-Action would not really go.  Not to mention, in live-action, how would the actors match the voices you here from the show?  Most likely, none.
