Envy 6,161 February 13, 2014 Share February 13, 2014 (edited) The Southern states... aside from mine. We missed out on major winter storms for the third year in a row, and now we're forecasted to go back into the 60s and 70s. LAME. I mean, it was cold, and there was a fair bit of snow altogether (relative to the last two winters, which only produced like two inches total), but mainly from two storms, the highest of which produced three or four inches of snow. Scootalove 10,689 February 13, 2014 Share February 13, 2014 You won't be able to go anywhere though. Ice is fun, but traveling's a pain (especially in the Southeast US). I know, but still. Winter is not doing us any justice, and I just prefer anything but snow. 1 Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules

Creamy Arty 6,252 February 13, 2014 Share February 13, 2014 I removed a few posts from this thread. While a tangential post here and there is alright, please refrain from protracted off-topic discussion. Thanks. ^^ As for the state of things here in good ol' Virginia... it's snowing. Meteorologists are typically wrong when they call for snow around these parts, so I refused to believe it until it started coming down. Now that it's here and it's likely to continue until whenever they said it will tomorrow afternoon, I'm definitely not going into work. Probably around 5 inches or so by the time it's done, which is a lot for us. The roads hadn't even been treated by the time I left work. Found myself sliding a little on the way home. Black ice is on the back roads and snow is packing a bit on the interstate. 1 Kyoshi made this ^^ Come join us on Equestria.tv on Fridays at 6 PM Eastern for our weekly movie nights! ( I actually ditched school today and stayed at the library all day) Really didn't want to go since it costed me my 3DS from last week snow. DubWolf 17,263 February 14, 2014 Share February 14, 2014 (edited) I'm from Central Texas. It was fairly cold in the morning (about 40F) then got a little warmer; up to 60 degrees. Surprisingly enough, last week we had a "snow day". Do I really need to provide a photo of normal-day Austin? It was partly cloudy outside. Moved to Elsewhere 11,331 February 14, 2014 Share February 14, 2014 So basically in America there is no escape from the storms. I can add that to another reason why I hate winter.
Winterbass 763 February 14, 2014 Share February 14, 2014 (edited) Massive snowfall here in Holland, it's crazy, I can hardly open the door. It's like a new Ice Age, I mean, just look at it! ... Yeah, so we haven't had any snow here at all yet, aside from one weak attempt where the snow melted the day after. It's like one long autumn here, and I hope it stays this way. I really dislike the winter, nearly everything about it. Though those snowstorms do sound both annoying and pretty dang awesome. We had them when I was living in Russia, but I don't really remember any of that anymore. I would want to experience a snowstorm just once though. Wingnut 6,990 February 14, 2014 Share February 14, 2014 This winter has been a total mess in my part of the USA. My office has been closed three times already this year, including yesterday, and that normally never happens. And today they announced another delayed opening. At least I can sleep for another hour now. -_-

SparklingSquirrels 21,341 February 14, 2014 Share February 14, 2014 Plenty of snow and up here where I live. School has been closed about 5 times due to snowstorms and windchill, and the weather doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon. However, I kinda like this weather. I do think snow is really pretty, and I love to watch it fall and blow around. ֍֎֍֎

DubWolf 17,263 March 2, 2014 Share March 2, 2014 (edited) It's only legitly snowed at home twice in my life. Even so, it didn't last very long. It's sort of why I want to move North later on (aside from work reasons), just a few hundred miles North (ugh, we're that close..). I can take a slightly colder winter to shave off some degrees of heat in the summer. TurtlesForSale 128 March 2, 2014 Share March 2, 2014 Here in England there has been a lot of flooding, luckily not where I am. No snow fell in winter where I am but we could still get some in spring, we have been pretty lucky ...so far. Ponies n Pizza 38 March 2, 2014 Share March 2, 2014 Here it has snowed like every single week but only once did it get to a foot at once and I was stuck at my boyfriends house, SCORE! LOL I just miss how when I was little it would snow every week in elementary school and we would only go to school possibly Tuesday and Wednesday. My favorite type of snow is when it snows like 5 inches and then it ices on top because you can slide around on top of it with boots and not fall through, SO FUN!
