movies/tv Movies and TV Shows that you think need to end

So, there is a Video Game franchises that need to die topic, why not a TV Show and Movie as well? (By the way sorry if there is already a topic about this, I searched and found nothing)

In my opinion movies that should die are:

Paranormal Activity: This movie isn't even scary anymore

And the TV Shows that I think should die are:

Family Guy: It's just too much already IMO

The Simpsons: I used to love the Simpsons a lot, but after Season 14 it kind of lost it's humor (Atleast for me)

What are yours?

Spogebob: The show hasn't been good in almost 10 years let it die

Family Guy: I sometimes think that Seth MacFarlane just wants it to end

The Simpsons: If this ever ended and still played reruns, I don't think anyone would notice

Fairly OddParents: You're just adding unnecessary characters to use as plot devices because you're out of ideas

Spongebob

Family Guy

Simpsons

American Idol - it's over, let it go. It lost credibility when no one became a star except for Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. It should have been buried when Simon left. Just die off.

While Simpsons and Family Guy have definitely overstayed their welcomes, they still get a good laugh out of me from time to time, but Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents? Please just end those already, not even new Family Guy and Simpsons are that bad

Family Guy has started to improve since they cut back on the "lolrandom" cutaway crutches.

But Spongebob.needs to end. I stayed on board longer than most but it's dying now. There's a new special called Spongebob VS. The Goo and I'm just "Why didn't they just do an oil spill episode a decade ago?" - Though I admit, I'm curious what the second movie will be all about.

Ben 10 has outlasted its welcome.

"Reality" TV as a genre needs to just stop existing. If we're not gonna go full-on into realizing The Truman Show's from-birth vision of reality TV, then why continue half-assing it? The closest we ever came to The Truman Show was that Joe Schmo thing and even that was a very inferior version that's a decade old now.

Also, the history channel needs to be shut down or else renamed JAH, "Jesus, Aliens, Hitler".

As for movies...

Fast & Furious

Paranormal Activity

Any work created by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer (the "[Movie theme] Movie" guys)

In fact, can we crucify those last two guys on live worldwide TV?

Oh, and Tim Burton/Johnny Depp films. I love them both and hell, I still say Dark Shadows was alright. But they're both trapped in the Yes Man cycle. Depp praises anything Burton does and vice versa. No room for growth or change or challenge or experimentation. Depp's talent is squandered and Burton's style is stale.

And as an inversion of the topic, movies that need to come back: Stephen King film adaptations. When they're bad, they're f###ing garbage but when they're good, they're f###ing amazing. The amazing ones (Shawshank, Misery, Dolores Claiborne) are great to see on the screen (I long to see Cell on the silver screen), and the garbage ones are just kinda fun and/or fascinating to pick apart, especially with a drinking game.

  • Family Guy
  • Hunger Games
  • Anything by Seth McFarlane
  • Spongebob
  • MLP : FiM (Better to end on a good note than a horrible ending.)
  • Any films based off of teen novels
  • Duck Dynasty
  • Any reality TV shows revolving around dumb drama

Why Hunger Games it's just 3 really good books that have been turned into 2 average movies so far, thats like saying Harry Potter should of stopped after Book 4

Yu-Gi-Oh and Beyblade for starters. I cherished these programs as a kid but they changed it all and it got so cheesy and unrecognisable,, I just.. Ugh I can't even bare myself to try and watch the newer series again.

Also, The Simpsons and Family Guy. Fortunately SAW, Twilight and Final Destination are over! Though I did enjoy most of the SAW films, the last one was just the epitome of shit though.

The "Resident Evil" movies should end, the producers typically say they will end the films at a certain point but never do, also Paul W.S. Anderson is one of the reasons the movies keep going, despite the fact he is quite an incompetent and clichéd director, who's direction is really predictable and tepid, chief among that is sequel begging, so long as there is an audience, there will be a sequel.

Adam Sandler films, I use to like him going back to Saturday Night Live, and some of his earlier films, but now it's embarrassing to be one of his fans, starting with Eight Crazy Nights, his movies: Grown Ups and the sequel, Just Go With It, Jack and Jill and That's my Boy are a blight on the IQ of the audience, what little they had, he has effectively ruined his reputation with the general audience, but if Rifftrax lampoons any of his films then and only then will I watch those movies again.
