Grossest foods you have eaten

Twilie

Recommended Posts

I've tried a Durian fruit before.

Those things smell bad when you cut them open, and don't taste any better when in your mouth. (for most)

Someone who was with me when I tried this described the taste as "hot garbage left out in the sun". And even though it was at room temperature at the time of consumption, I have to agree that was an accurate description of what it was like to me.

A lot of vegetables, especially carrots. I can't stand the taste of them at all. My most hated is pickles, though. I can't stand the texture, taste, or even the sight of them. They gross me out and when I see people eating them I die a little inside. Spaghetti is also pretty high up on my list. It's quite a popular food but I just don't get it at all - especially when meat balls are involved. Makes me queasy just thinking about it. I have a lot more, but I could write a whole novel about them. I'm a very picky eater, if you haven't been able to tell.

I don't eat vegetables in the first place. If I do it's small amounts ground up and hidden with other flavors. I'm putting down every vegetable. I physically get ill from eating them. Mushrooms are, by far, the worst smelling and tasting. Tomatoes are horrible as well.

Any food microwaved. I was spoiled when I went to northern Cali where all them rich folk live. Anyways, a friend of mine let me stay at his house for a day and he did not own a microwave. He said eating food from a microwave is like eating rice with radiation as toppings.

I've eaten Escargot and toasted crickets. But these were actually pretty good. The stuff that wasn't good was Tripe. Honestly, who was the first genius to come up with the idea of eating tripe? Can you just picture that moment in the murky distant past, when somepony came along and said something to the effect of, "Gee, stomach lining of a cow? Load me up!" And apparently it caught on because some misguided folks are still eating it today!  :awuh:

I don't know for sure but there has to be something I hate. I eat many things which are 'unusual' where I live, the US, such as squid, Vegemite, eel, etc. I loved all of them. So I can't make an easy decision for real food. Mmm I hate onions, and I hate finding them in my food.  :eww: :eww:

I've always found spinach soup yucky. And I still do. Everything about it causes me to make a weird expression and it even looks suspicious.

  • 2 weeks later...

old mac and cheese (obvious reasons there)

Now this reminded me about the worst thing I've ever tasted. It was about three days old risotto that I had forgotten in a plastic box. Even the thought of the taste makes my face scrunch.
