Okay... Just downloaded the game a few minutes ago, and... Blaaaahhhh, the controls. I barely understand how they work. And I feel the urge to just mash buttons. And... Oh, jeez. How do people play this sort of stuff?!

Trust me I know. I don't know how to do the cool moves and the only way I can ever win a match is to just button mash.

Well Judging by how other people play this game, we usually play with the USB controller, but I know how other people feel confident playing the game with a keyboard. For me, I'm not one of them who plays the game with keyboard. That's why I wanted to play the game with a USB controller device which is my PS2 controller and/or of course my newest USB adapter, the GCN controller adapter for PC USB.

Okay I ordered a ps2 controller to pc adapter that should come in a couple days. Maybe that will make the controls easier on me.

Okay tried it with a ps2 controller. A bit better but still can't get passed Applejack in story mode. Making the ais less OP would help.

I finally got it running on my mac. Only one problem. I can't figure out the button for "Start". I tried Enter, but it did nothing. Do I need a controller to go around?

On the keyboard is actually the escape key

I'm amazed people call the AI op, I'm not amazingly good at the game (people online give me a super hard time) but I can go through the AI rather easily, only.twi causes trouble.

The mane issue is just that I suck on the keyboard. I can't seem to get the combos to go right.

 

I can defeat the AI as long as I'm using Rainbow Dash since I got alright with her, but it really is more like me winning 75 percent of the time, the other 25 percent is me either just barely losing or getting murder-stomped.

 

I ain't no fighting game pro, though, so that's probably why it's like that for me.

Well no one here probably saw my thread reguarding this topic but I find it funny that a few months after I said something about finishing Fighting is Magic for Mane 6 that it got released to the web with Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash being playable characters. Anyone else find that interesting?

I just got the  game... It's decent. I like it,and the controls aren't hard when you change them. (You can ONLY change them in windowed mode.) But something I noticed is...Pinkie Pie is gray (or grey,however you spell it.) Now this really bugs me,because if you can't tell already,Pinkie is my favorite pony (Followed close by Rainbow Dash.) . I don't know why,but Pinkie Pie is pink. It's even in her name. Her theme song is even my favorite. Aside from that..mehhh..It's a decent game and it looked amazing in the promo/trailer thingy. I highly doubt this is the full version,but I also doubt there will be a full version. If some people don't download this game,It'll be gone. Hasbro will delete it. But if you have the game downloaded already,there's not much Hasbro can do about it. The full version (if there is one,hopefully there will be.) will take a while to make. Maybe coming out 2015,2016 maybe? It's a great game,don't get me wrong. I love the game,it's amazing. Change the controls and it's a pretty good game. Pinkie is gray,yes. I even checked to see if it was just Pinkie,and it is. I tried Twilight and SHA-ZAM! She was colored. I don't get why Pinkie is gray. You're fighting a pink one,so why don't you be the original Pinkie and you fight Discorded Pinkie? It's a really good concept of a game..but..this tribute version..didn't turn out as amazing as I wanted it to be..I wanted this game to be..amazing. It's not,however. The game is a terrible let down. It's good if you're bored,but it's not much of a blast. It has some issues. Ending this ''rant''..The tribute version was very rushed,very rushed. It's good,but..it's still rushed. I'm going to give it..

It's awesome to play this game, but hard at the same time when using a keyboard. I've been trying to connect my PS3 controller to my PC so I ca use it, but for some reason it will not connect to the game. Do you guys no why it could be doing this?

I don't know the controls to this game either because it's insanely confusing.

As soon as I get the controls to work, I will definitely play some of it! It's a really interesting fighting game.
