Not necessarily.  But when they see how crazy we are, they'd have to seriously consider wiping us out for the good of the universe.

If they are technologically far ahead of us, I wouldn't be surprised. After all, Europe exploited technologically inferior countries so it wouldn't be surprising if technologically superior aliens would do same to all of us.
