Pat.Rio.T. 305 March 4, 2014 Share March 4, 2014 I love Sweetie Belle, she is my favorite CMC. Part of the reason is that she is so cute. And her voice is just so adorable. But, in season four, it seems that her voice is slightly different now, I first noticed in "Twilight Time" Season 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-dKXh8_uv0 Season 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-kgMJ-Xxzc I don't know if anypony else has noticed this. Maybe they're purposely showing age progression? Though, only about a year has passed since the beginning of season one to the beginning of season four. Plus I haven't really noticed any difference in the other's voices. Whatever it is, personally, I don't like it. And the show's been around for a few years now. She's getting older and her voice is changing.) As everyone has said so far, puberty is a thing and her voice has changed. Even for the character having only aged a year over the last three seasons, horses and ponies age faster than humans so it does make sense. Chuckles4lyfe 441 March 5, 2014 Share March 5, 2014 WOW, I knew that Sweetie's voice sounded different when I watched Twilight Time, but I didn't realize it changed that much in only a span of 2 years. Applebloom and Scootaloo both still sound the same, but that can be due to their VA's being able to retain their youthful and childlike voices unlike Claire. Listening to how she sounded in Sisterhooves Social, I find it a bit jarring that her voice is deeper, yet she still remains the same size and age in the show. I know that EQD had a poll a while back asking whether or not the CMC should age as the show progresses, & I really hope that they do. It would be interesting to see them as teenagers and we would be able able to explore more mature themes (+ I think they would still be cute as ever ). #Squadgoals "But that day...The day I discovered racing...I proved that the legends were true. This happened to the actor who did the voice of Skippy on Animaniacs. towards the end of the series, his voice dropped enough that they had to alter it to make it sound higher. The animators still haven’t designed Sweetie Belle or the CMC’s to match their age progression through the series, so I have no reason to believe that they changed her voice for that reason.
