To be fair, I think the real Heart's magic makes it indestructible against things like that.

 

Would explain why he over-trapped it instead of just kicking it in lava or something (that, and it was heavily implied he wanted to use it as a doomsday weapon).

King Sombra's not a bad villain, he just never really got a chance to shine. I'm still hoping for him to appear in another episode, but if that never comes to be, at least I have stuff like this to look at...

Ok let me just start by saying that I believe King Sombra is the best villain in MLP. Ever. He not only enslaved a kingdom but he thoroughly pulled off the "evil dictator" look. I believed he was a bad ass villain. Which is more than I can and will say about some other villains. Anyway I have a question. Does King Sombra have an heir? If so who is he/she? whats his/her name? if not then I will just implement my own ideals as to how his heir would turn out.

Going by the show and the comics, we really have no idea. No mention of an heir was mentioned, so it's hard to tell.

Sombra is like the pony version of Ganondorf because both are dark kings.

 

Oh and Ganondorf also had a steed so maybe I should draw Ganondorf riding Sombra sometime.

I like King Sombra a lot. He is a character that has so much potential. Love how he seems to be the personification of fear.

He is my favorite.

 

I consider him the most dangerous villain the Mane 6 have ever faced. He managed to enslave an entire race and take over an Empire. He was clearly really powerful especially in dark magic. He was smart as well, setting down traps. He did not have the same kind of traps. The only way to get to the stairs leading down was by using dark magic, however, to get through the door you had to use good magic (in case someone who knew dark magic would get through his secret entrance). To me that shows high level of intelligence.

 

Cadance (who is an alicorn) had to keep up a constant shield to be able to protect the Empire, otherwise (I presume) Sombra would have steamrolled everypony.

 

I consider him also the most evil, he clearly seemed to enjoy torture other ponies minds (he was pretty much burned within every crystal ponies mind, having pretty much scarred them for life). He seemed also to having enslaved the crystal ponies for amusement. If that is not evil, than I don't know what is

He was so dangerous that he had to be killed (the only one to be killed except for a beehive that was destroyed by Tirek :comeatus: ).

 

I find it kinda unfair how little he talked in the TV show, he had such potential. I've enjoyed reading the comics where he has made appearance (in flashbacks about the past).

Though I will say that I personally believe his lack of speaking lines in the series actually a benefit to him. A villain who talks too much can sometimes be seen as a little too arrogant. I loved Chrysalis & all, but her mouth got her in trouble.

 

Granted Tirek and Discord are good examples of vocal villains done right, but I think Sombra as a silent (or rather, not as mouthy) villain works as well. To me, it just shows he's cool & calculated.

It also raises more curiosity. Makes me want to know him more. Makes him really mysterious and dark
