(Let's give this RP making one last shot)

 

Alright, so I've been floating this idea around in my head for some time now to bring the concept of the Colonial Era of the world into the world of MLP. I intend to create a fanfic and do drawings on this so it needs to be creative, realistic, and fun :D Obviously there are a lot of boundaries that would affect this so before any of you get too interested...here's the big turn away:

 

This is an Advanced RP with a character cap! (not too big though)

Pegasi flight is hindered (imagine this time as being before the wings had fully developed)

Unicorns are able to use a weaker, close range telekinesis alone...nothing else

 

If you have read past those boundaries, I assume you are still somewhat interested. As you can tell, this stage in Equestria is focused around realistic abilities without the upper hand of species. I am searching for those who have an enjoyment of history or a want of the experience, dedicated to their RP, and plainly wishing to have fun!

 

Firstly, let me define the Colonial Era for those of you who don't know in my own words:

 

A period between the 1600s and 1800s in the world where nations competed to conquer and colonize other small nations or new lands where they could expand their borders and receive economic bonuses over their rivals to achieve the upper hand in their race for imperialism.

Verbatim: Black powder muskets, cannons, wooden ships, swords, bayonets, etc....lol

 

 

Since this is the Colonial Era, realism is the key. It would help if you have at least some knowledge of the time period...but if you don't, it's okay :) just ask if you have a question!

You don't have to be extremely specific in this...or it wouldn't be near as enjoyable...nor do you have to know much of the terminology used back then.

 

Anyways, without further ado, here's the specifics:

 

The map is Equestria though the pegasus cities are upon the ground.

There are 9 main nations as by the map:

 

 

Equestria (Princess Celestia and Luna)

The Griffin Kingdoms (King Hippogriff)

The Ibex Empire (Emperor Horse Shu)

Hooviet Union (Titan the Terrible)

Cervidas (Lord Hornnibal)

Camelu (Queen Camelpatra)

Zebrica (Sultan Sulibra)

Pingwin (Leaf Ericcolt)

Prance (Emperor Neighpoleon)

 

 

Wars:

 

Equestria, Zebrica, Camelu vs Prance and Cervidas
Hooviet Union vs Pingwin

Name: Caiesm

Background: As a colt, Caiesm was granted Pony of the Watch on a Prench Royal Navy ship called The Juggernaut. He experience only three engagements while growing up on the ship, all except one of which was lost to a Equestrian pony of war. In that circumstance he was captured along with the surviving crew and sent back to Equestria for a whole year before the emperor parlayed them back home. 

After returning, the now young stallion, Caiesm, was relinquished of his duties honorably to make a peaceful life for himself in Prance.

Only two years passed till Caiesm was forced to return to Prance's forces once again in war against Equestria. After his thorough training in the academy, Caiesm was deployed as Lieutenant under General Manehill...with 200 troops under his command...until the Battle of Corluna...

At current time, Caiesm returned home, attempting to reestablish a life for himself...hopefully without being called back again...

Trade: Military Colonel specializing in the Prench Royal Navy and Infantry

Nation: Prance

Since she became a mare,she practically lived inside a house,experimenting with everything at her reach(gunpowder,muskets...)

Many ponies call her crazy...others call her a genius,but only a few ponies managed to have a full conversayion with her and following the rhythm of her reasonings.

She prefers to be alone,but she can accept companies too if that helps her on her investigations

RP Background: Rut-Light was born to a very wealthy family and, even at a young age, was skeptical of everything around him; even his own twin brother, Clyde, whom Rut-Light loved very much; and it shattered his soul when Clyde died at the young age of forty-two.  Nowadays, even with the wars raging on and thirteen years later, Rut-Light is fifty-five years of age, more skeptical than ever and has turned some-what violent; even to the point where rumors spread of him to visitors saying he should 'Be avoided at all costs.' and 'Mr. Light doesn't like anypony, he hasn't even chosen a side in the war.'  In all seriousness though, Rut-Light's just...scarred, and he refuses to tell anypony why.  He's the last of his family, living in a big mansion with crap loads of money and wisdom....and books in shelves in the common room.

RP Background: DarkWing was left orphaned as a young colt. He struggled to survive, living on his own in his family's old run down home, for he feared going to the orphanage. He learned to still for his food until the one day when he got caught. He was given an ultimatum, join the armed forces or go to an orphanage. In the Grand Army of Equestria, he quickly showed his skills that he used to survive.

RP Background: Growing up, Spades quickly gained a love of money and goods -seeing how he was often without-. He had the foolish dream of one day escaping poverty by: finding a new land, filled with money and items of trade. He was sure to make that dream a reality by lazying about in a tree, as his mother would often say.

Once he had grown, and started taking his goals more seriously, Spades discovered that he had some skill in finding items of value. Mainly, they were small trinkets and other items that the towns folk would often discard or 'no longer have use for; and as the years went by, his scavenging turned into well thought out plans and excavations of buried items. He managed to sell and make a small name for himself.

Nation: He doesn't really ally himself with a nation (If possible) Merchant?

Immigrant pony? lol All this covers almost all of the territories in the world of ponies. Where would she be an immigrant from and which country will she be an immigrant in?

 

****BTW EVERYONE****

With the sudden influx of all the Equestria born ponies, I'll switch my character to a different nation and with a similar but different backstory. You don't have to be from Equestria, in fact, it helps a better plotline and interest. All the same, I'll be sure to get everything going tomorrow after these last two backstories are posted...then, we shall begin :D

Haha It's not about what I want for your characters. The characters are your own and you can decide where they hail from. I just wanted to even the plot a little with a character from another nation.
