Have you ever began something, quit, and come back? Anything you haven't?

As the topic asks, have you began anything in general, quit, and came back to like it?

For example, I watched the anime 'K-ON!' some time last year and stopped on episode four because I got bored of it. Just a few days ago I started watching it again.. and now I've already finished watching the second season and movie (that's all there is to the show) and I'm just about ready to call it my FAVORITE thing I've ever watched.

Also, have you began something, quit, came back, and maybe quit again?

For example, I began playing the piano as a kid, and stopped some time in elementary. I picked it up again, thinking I'd love it in Highschool, but quickly dropped it. I might even pick it up again, but I'd probably end up giving up again.

In recent memory the Avatar series. I wasn't feeling Korra and quit after an episode, when I had been obsessed with the original. I didn't keep up with the fandom for a long time, and only recently am I getting back into it.

Happens all the time. More often than not I play a video game and if it doesn't immediately grab me all it takes is a break and coming back to it weeks, months or even years later and I just suddenly like it.

Every game I've ever played has been this way. I have amassed a collection of 400 games I either loved or learned to love.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic XD I watched the first two episodes in summer 2013 but I wasn't really interested. Then a friend at new school convinced me to give it a chance and... here I am.

This just happened this past week with me and Starbound. I picked it up last year and hated it after five minutes. Came back to it last week and I've poured hours into it since.

Generally, I won't like a game at first, but will enjoy it after a few weeks away from it.

Several games come into mind, notably Valkyria Chronicles 2. I started the first two main missions, quit for a few months because it wasn't drawing me in, then came back and beat through it. It eventually became my favorite PSP game

Yeah, plenty of times.

For example, Arma 3.

At first, I thought it was alright, but I really didn't like it compared to Arma 2. Performance issues aside (which weren't that big of a deal anyways), it just didn't ... feel right, I guess. Then, I decided to give it another go after watching some videos, and it quickly became my favourite game, even more so than A2. :D (The same can be said for A2, wasn't too interested at first, so I stopped playing. Gave it another chance after seeing some videos, and freakin' loved it! Thank you ShackTac! <3)

Yes. With Minecraft. In multiple stages...

I'm hoping I'll get back to Terraria soon too. I'm just not in the mood.

Happens to me for homework all the time. Thankfully my college professors were pretty relaxed with due dates and I got everything done in that I needed.

Video games happens quite a few times for me. For one, Mother/Earthbound Zero. It took me a while to really get into it but my friend kept convincing me to play it after I took a break. It's one of my favorite games ever now and I plan to keep replaying the series (I had played Earthbound and Mother 3 already, just not the first game).

Also for writing fan-fiction sometimes takes quite a bit. Sometimes I just don't have it in me one day but can write an entire story in one sitting the next.

This happens to me allot actually, I have always been a fan of Pokemon, but in recent years have lost interest in the anime, games, and cards yet each time a new game comes out I immediately buy it and it becomes all I play, I can say the same about the cards, though unfortunately I haven't been able to find myself becoming reinterested in the anime.

Star Trek: Enterprise. As a Trekkie, I was cautiously optimistic about the new series, and I enjoyed the first half of the first season, but I grew to dislike it and raged against it on Trek forums at every opportunity. A few years later, I began rewatching it and not only have come to like it, it's moved up on my favorite series list from last to fourth, pushing Voyager down.

Yeah, especially in music. I'll listen to some of an artist's material (usually an album or two) and sometimes it just wont click with me right away, even if I spend weeks listening to it. But then, months later, I'll just get a random urge to listen to it again, and when I do, it just clicks with me right there and then.

Of course, some video games.

Like Halo 3, it's off and on all the time, man.

Like seasons, I'll like it for a while, then hate it, then like it again, and so it.

It's a wild ride. xD

I tried composing a black metal song about Luna's descent into Nightmare Moon. I quit and it took me a year to get back into it. And then I quit again. Here's the WIP, if you wanna hear it. But Goddamn "Moonrise: A symphonic Metal Opera" just had to go and steal my thunder. Oh well, I friggen love that song.

I tend to do that with fan fictions and drawing a lot, I just don't have the motivation to do it, then I wake up one day and all of a sudden feel pumped to do it!

I've a bad habit with this. Video games, movies, anime, etc.

I would pick them up one day, get bored half way into it, and not resume where I left off until a year or so later. Or start over because I took too long. This is mostly due to getting distracted with other things on my backlog. Even to this day, I'm nowhere near finishing my to-do list. My Steam library being ONE example. And then there's my Read Later list of fics on FiMFiction consisting of over 80 stories...

Music projects.

I'll be writing a song and realize how long it's going to take me, so I give up. Then a few months/weeks later, I'll continue writing the song.

World of Equestria :D

I left because I was feeling like it was becoming more of an anime-based site rather than a pony based site, and my interests outside of MLP do not lie in anime of any sort, so I felt I had no place there. I dramatically announced my exit, only to come back less than a day later :derp:
