I loved the movie but I don't go over the top but I guess if they like it want to do art go ahead...

The art is...

it's...

-le gasp.-

INCEST.

But it's not just the art. It's everything.

This is like the million dollar question. They were obsessed over the movie for, the moments that it had and probably not because of the villain that lacked any substance.

Also, the Let It Go song. :D

I have no idea as well. Although I didn't really see the full movie.

What I do know though is that I got infected with love towards "Let it go" by my gf. I was completely ignorant to this movie and song itself, until she forced me into watching some kind of ... well, another version of all these "Idol", singing contests, Xfactors God knows what else. Still, she forced me into watching a cover (and it was far better than the original for me), what impressed me a lot.

I still don't understand the phenomenon of this movie, but at least I've noticed one thing worth mentioning in it :)

Because "Let It Go" is a masterpiece that carries the rest of the film.

Why do we like My Little Pony?

I honestly feel that the recent films being put out by Disney are really good. Frozen and Tangled will be my childrens Snow White and Beauty and the Beast (examples have no connection to Frozen and Tangled, they're just classics). The phenomenon is that the movie was hyped and was recieved extremely well. It only spread like wildfire after that.

Because they really want to make a snowman!

And because le hype train. Everyone says the movie is amazing, so by most people's logic then it must be amazing! This, combined with how terrible children's movies have been in the recent decade, garner frozen a very large base of paying fans.

The movie was so amazing! I mainly liked it because of let it go and the snow princess lady. Now try and figure out why every one else liked it. Hint hint: It was let it go.

I don't care what pony you like because I like everypony!

I'm not that into it, but if know a guy who is. I'll try to say what he would say.

-It's different from a lot of Disney movies, in that it's critical of the whole "love at first sight" thing. It kind of circumvents that by making the character who immediately falls in love and tries to marry that dude have it bite her in the ass.

-instead of it being a typical boy meets girl love story, it's more about the relationship between two sisters.

-the main characters were competent women

-the music was good

-some other things I can't remember.

I'm not nearly as into it as others, but this seems to be why people like it so much.

It was a good movie, but nothing to write home about like so many people make it out to be. A lot of the "firsts for Disney" that people say it has done, was already done in older Disney movies. I'd still rather watch Atlantis.

Oh also, something else that really bothers me about Frozen and the awards it won. Since it's animation, the judges don't take it too seriously. Most of them either didn't vote, or only voted for Frozen because it's the only one they watched out of the animation category. It won a false victory if you ask me.

First of all 2013 was an abysmal year in the entertainment industry especially in the animation department and to say even just one really great thing come out of that year was practically a miracle.

Second myself and others enjoy the heart and hard work that clearly was put into the making of the movie as well as the breathtaking animation, wonderful songs, well written story (for the most part) and the fun and memorable characters.

Also the main reason would be Elsa and how interesting and complex and well written and developed she was in just a short amount of time and how great of a character she truly is.

So yeah the movie is liked because it shows that Disney truly is in a second renaissance, it was well written and fun, had good music, had good characters, had lots of heart, and most importantly was a really great movie to come out of one of the worst years for animation as well as the entertainment industry in quite some time.

I understand where everyone is coming from, but I just don't understand the huge impact it had. Overall, it was a good movie. I'm not denying that. I just can't warp my head around why everyone (excuse my English) Blew their sh*t because of it. I mean, it's not like this is the first time Disney has come out with something good.

Mostly because it blew everybody's expectations, both high and low. Interesting to know that it went through development hell since the forties. It went through numerous story revisions trying how to adapt Hans Christian Andersen's "The Snow Queen". It has been adapted numerous times in the past, rarely on the big screen. This was the Disney project they try desperately to get off the ground.

What many people obsess over it is it takes the typical Disney Princess formula and revamped it. Also the animation is gorgeous.

I'm not directing this towards you Trekkard, you just happened to be the one who brought this up in here.

That right there, I just love that train of thought about Frozen. It really didn't do that. Superpowers aside, she was not the first princess to not act all goody "girly". Do people's eyes just glaze over because of the "awesome" animation? Do their brains go numb from the cold? Mulan, Pocahontas, Kida, even more recently Rapunzel don't act like "typical" princesses.

Kida even ended up becoming "queen", so Elsa doesn't get to claim that first either in why she is different.

I think because while the couple past Disney hits with Princess and the Frog and Wreck-it-Ralph were good, they didn't have anything quite so iconic. This was like a new generation's Lion King and that generation has the internet. "Obsession" is just the usual post movie hype, running it's course.

On the whole though, Frozen deserves what it gets. Putting aside the obvious, it recaptured the magic and wonder of childhood and the world. The film I was reminded of was actually The Little Mermaid when I thought about it's overall tone.

We had two well defined and likable princesses, a sarcastic but charming male second, a surprisingly funny sidekick, and a twist the certainly didn't see coming!

Frozen was a wonderful movie and I'm glad I saw it, moreover, I'm glad of it's popularity. I wasn't old enough to recognize what a phenomenon Disney movies like Beauty and the Beast were like when they came out. But now, my kids are going to be watching Frozen and I can tell them how I saw it in the theater and how everypony went crazy for it, and how I loved every second of it.
