Do a disproportionate number of bronies come from the south of the States?

I like to consider Indiana an honorary southern state. Culture-wise, it's literally indistinguishable from, say, Kentucky, in the rural areas, which take up about 80& of the state. Especially southern Indiana. Dear God, you might as well be in Missouri. The only difference is our accents still have that rural twang, but it's nowhere near as thick. At least in my town.

 

Oh, and according to Chevette, Indiana is the trailer park capital of the US.

As for me, I'm from Virginia, so I'm around the center of the country, latitudinally speaking. Some day I'd like to move north. Perhaps to Pennsylvania or to Massachusetts so I can bug . Not sure what you would consider me then.

I'd imagine that bronies come more from cities and hipster-friendly places such as the Northwest.  I think that the southerners just talk about it more since it's very ironic to be a brony from the bible belt.

I live in Minnesota and there are tons of bronies here. 

 

I'm not sure if there are a ton of bronies in the southern US or not. I think there are a good amount of bronies in most places of the world where the show airs on TV.

I think there are plenty of bronies here, but in smaller rural areas, it's less likely to find them, and also there is the whole southern fag hate phenomena to deal with as well.

I don't think there are many bronies in the UK for the simple reason as nobody really gives a shit if you like MLP. I wouldn't say we were as "accepting" of bronies as much as we probably think it's a bit weird, but wouldn't really hold it against someone. We Brits don't tend to make a fuss about such things and I don't think that the UK gives bronydom the attention it deserves. I think we'd rather pretend it doesn't exist, much like how Queen Victoria didn't persecute lesbians because she didn't believe they existed.

I am from the South, live in Florida go to school in Arkansas. But maybe it seems disproportionate on these forums because, this is just my theory, the North has less of a stigma with female/male things so Bronies can more easily find other Bronies in their area not drawing them to a forum rather than myself where I know no Bronies in my immediate area and the only ones I have met are at least 2 hours away.
